foto_decadent- a beautiful photoshoot... I love the girl's face and body and the style of the shoot

http://www.royal-t.org/
DUDE. maid cafe. in la. I'm so going once I don't feel like road-kill!

really facinating article about appreciation of art (they took a world-famous violinist and stuck him in a subway to play to see if anyone would stop and listen. It's very interesting.) thanks to utenai!

this makes me really want a DS. I want to get my celphone decorated hardcore soon. I'm tired of the stickers I buy coming off. It needs to be permanently bling.

So you won't be able to make it to the cafe on sunday.

Wow that girl is gorgeous...

[identity profile] aimeekitty.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I might be able to! I'm pretty sick though and I have company this weekend, but we'll see! cause maid cafe is awesome!! if not this weekend, then maybe we can try again another time? :)

Oh wow so pretty!!
The photos are really wonderful, I really love the first one :)

Aimee, you are so lovely. The spring colors look awesome on you and I'm waiting for these pictures to pop up in an ad somewhere.

Great modeling & photography!

You look so pretty! You look beautiful in those colors, and the trees look awesome. ^_^

[identity profile] miss-jane.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
The one of you with the birds is my fave!

Thanks for posting that article about Joshua Bell. I frequent the subway every Sunday, and you can count on someone playing music... Usually, I have somewhere to go, but if I don't I like to listen.

I'm pretty sure, honestly, I wouldn't have been able to tell he was (I don't want to say better) different than everybody else, I enjoy classical music myself and would have stopped to listen (I'm guilty of probably only listening until the next train came by). If I had change, I would have donated, too.

I wrote a post a week or two back where a guy was singing Bob Marley's "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and it made me cry :/ (Things were the exact opposite).

I love the photography, it's nice and colorful but not burning my eyes bright *LOL* Oh I got your book, haha there were several times where it made me laugh and my fiancé is like "wtf are you reading? I wanna see!"

[identity profile] taeha.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Those photos of you are amazing!

I love my DS. ^__^

Hi Aimee,

Wow, you look beautiful, and the backdrop is gorgeously matched!

[identity profile] lindze.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
holy crap I want to go to that cafe now!

[identity profile] mabdese.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah such a pretty face in a pretty kimono XD

Also highly recommend getting a DS, even yesterday in the game store a 12 year old was turning in his PSP for a DS - very telling!

[identity profile] isayana.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I love the pictures ^^
You don't know me, but is it okay if I ask you a couple things? Like, how do you go about making reservations in Japan? Do you need to know Japanese when you call the hotel? Do they have you give a credit card number and stuff like you do here? Also, do they have English ATMs? If I brought money with me, I doubt I'd want to always have it all in my pocket, you know? Do they use an American debit card?

I ask because I am in the beginning stages of planning to go to Japan and since you're the only one I know who has been on vacation there I thought I'd ask you ^^ Hope that's okay ^^

[identity profile] aimeekitty.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
some reservations I made through: http://www.kyotoguesthouses.com/ for ryokan. Certain places are not available through there though. Many place will accept english faxes if you find their number. Some will accept emails in english. It depends.
English is limited though so you have to be patient! Yes, they take your credit card number in many places. however, some places take cash only.

you can get cash through your ATM at most post offices in Japan. This is the best way, but take some USD with you and change at least a couple hundred at the airport in JAPAN. You'll find that you need more cash than you think you will, and it may not be convenient for you to go to a post office. Lots of places ONLY take cash (lots of places do take american credit cards too though)

aaah~ the ducks! D:

That bling-y DS is really cute... mine is decorated with Optimus Prime. ;~; I.. I can't decide! *puts rhinestones all over Optimus*

[identity profile] purelovely.livejournal.com 2008-04-10 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I love your Sakura furisode. I wish I could get one. The trees are so beautiful. The colors in the photos are amazing.

Maid cafe in L.A. sounds awesome. I wish I had one around here. ^_^

[identity profile] penultimateokgo.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Those. Pictures. Are. Absolutely. Stunning!

OH WOW.

I found getting a DS to be so worth it. I didn't think I'd have a reason for one, but then I finally got one, and play it often! I even find myself pulling it out while waiting in line at the grocery store, things like that.

[identity profile] aimeekitty.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
yeah, I think if I got one, I'd use it mainly for waiting in lines, which happens more than you would think, huh?

I try not to play video games much otherwise, I just have so much else to do, right...? but it comes in PINK and has cute cute games!!

[identity profile] penultimateokgo.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
I don't have much free time anymore to sit down and play games :( So the DS is awesome for casual play, you just open it up, play for a few minutes, and then just close it and go on with your usual daily activities. Although sometimes you'll find a game or two that you can't put down until you beat it :D

[identity profile] jennekohan.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Ohh I want to go to a maid cafe, wish I was in CA! And your photos are beautiful and I love your furisode (I think that is what it is?)! If you don't mind would it be alright if I e-mailed you a question about obi? I have a yukata with a pre-tied obi and I feel like an idiot because I'm not sure if I am tying it correctly or what I could be doing wrong and thought maybe you might know since you have experience wearing those sorts of things.

[identity profile] aimeekitty.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
thanks a ton! Jason always takes great photos, I always feel lucky to have photos with him!

pretied, feel free to email me, but with yukata, basically, you tie the sash part around your waist (no particular trick, just hide the strings) and then pop in the bow part in the back. (the metal part slips in under the sash part that you already tied.) does that make sense?

just fyi, a regular yukata bow (not pretied) is not that hard once you get used to it, too, and it's easy to tie on yourself (ie once you know how)

[identity profile] lenity.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
:) I've friended you but I've been shy to say hello! But i have to say...WOW! That kimono is amazing! My favorite so far!

;-;! I've been so curious about Royal/T. I've got to go there sometime!

[identity profile] sakurae.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Really pretty ^^

I'm going to try to go this Saturday after getting some good old greasy fried chicken because I've been not feeling fat enough LOL might see you there.

[identity profile] tetsu69.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
I hope your maid cafe does better then ours. The Imaid cafe failed oh soo.... hard.

I want to open a new one and have it not suck.

[identity profile] aimeekitty.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
how did it suck? that's sad

[identity profile] kellyhime.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
These photos are absolutely gorgeous!

[identity profile] april-art.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Beautiful photos! I love the colors. So gorgeous--the furisoda and the blossoms!

About star violinist in train station... I wouldn't be surprised if commuters ran over the greatest star in the world if they were on their way to work. Art? feh!!! (Sad.)

[identity profile] melisangels.livejournal.com 2008-04-11 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
I really appreciate the link to the article and am passing it along to all my fellow musicians. Lovely photos, too! ^__^

Wow, these are gorgeous pictures! I must say, though, you look very much like my older sister. This is a compliment; you're both beautiful! ^_^
