Mom and I went out to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve today. It was AMAZING. We seem to have hit just the right location at just the right time with just the right weather. More later.
Did you know that Shea's Castle is located near the Poppy Reserve? The original owner brought the stones brick-by-brick from Ireland and built the castle for his wife. If you get out to AV again, you should take a tour =)
I'd never heard of that castle before. It looks really interesting! But isn't it privately owned...? would people allow us to photograph there? I can't find many pictures online that are recent... are the poppies bordering the castle...? (ie can you see poppies and castle in the same camera shot?)
