Today Rocks. (David Austin Roses)

aimeekittyMy David Austin Roses came in the mail today! They're actually quite large...! Most of my other mail-order roses were really small. I'm excited to see how well they grow. I'll plant them tomorrow because I DON'T HAVE TO WORK TOMORROW... YESSSSSSS.

But I did a lot of research online and in books to find out what varieties would be best for this zone and stuff... and I wanted very specific colors and rose-style, so it's best to order online from reputable companies than buy some "normal rose" at lowe's. :) I doubt a nursery, lowes or home depot, etc,... would have had -any- of the varieties I wanted.
the nursery is always "Try iceberg!" (yes, I know! It's a tough little rose that's easy to grow! But I want something else!)

Date: 2010-01-30 07:31 pm (UTC)Ohh I see, we already had roses planted here before moving in so I think they just decided to keep these up. I think they may be a variety of English roses because they grow very full and have that old perfume scent on them.
