I really needed this today! I'm very grateful I didn't have to go to work today. (we worked ultra hard the past few weeks.)
This is at Huntington Gardens. :) (it was super windy today! This is how windy it was:

seriously. eventually they kicked us out of the gardens because they were afraid branches were going to hit us. Case in point:

The obidome is a lucky clover. I wore my purple and blue striped geta. The obi is this yellow hime one. :) this is my second try with Nagoya obi. I really adore this kimono, it may be my new favorite.
stripes + representational motif + bright colors = LOVE

then I had cake:

and then I went running through this field (yes, in kimono. no, I did not fall on my face.)

and there was hummingbirds.
and the sky looked like this:

then the docents said I had to leave for fear of scary falling branches.
then I went into LA to see Mitch for a bit and got some mochi from Fugetsu-Do. The store owner was there and asked if I was going to tea-ceremony. Nope. I'm just a big dork. :)

Date: 2007-04-13 01:18 am (UTC)Koi are my nerdy Japanese thing I collect. Well had to stop collecting as my 4 I have are too big for their current home of a 100 gallon aquerium in my room. Mine are so small compaired to them though ;o; Keita's my biggest at 13 inches, Ryohei is a close second at 12, (both of my boys) and Ryuichi is up to 8 inches and my new one (aka cutie since her marking makes her face look like this c: ) Momoko is a tiny 4 inches plus 3 inches of fins/tail (my girls). But I got my first three koi last year and Momoko in febuary. They were all that small when I bought them so I do find 9 inchs in less then a year for Keita to be quite a feat.
... I treat them better then most partents treat their children >> *rubs scars from falling into the aquerium to save them from having glass fall on them an cut them since it's easier to take care of me over my fish*
