Hey,... so, gallo_de_pelea inspired me to do a drawing a day advent thing for Christmas. (I DID post yesterday, soooo) But... who knows what that'll end up being each day. <3

I have two kinda involved illustrations I want to color, so I'll post them later, but for now,...

And then for those of you who have seen Doctor Who Waters of Mars (spoilers!)

I -am- joking around, hens it being a comic and me saying "i kid, i kid". So please understand that I AM kidding, and I realize all the things you are saying even as I joke about it. (I'm pretty sure that RTD is going to do something very interesting with this even if I have an unreasonable knee-jerk reaction)

I do think that The Doctor is better with his companions, they've said this repeatedly.

However, if we're talking about this as if it was real and talking about a philosophical standpoint... People are only as good as they are by themselves. If you're only good when someone's watching, or when you have a friend with you, then how good are you?
There's, to me, a big difference between making some poor choices when you don't have the positive influence of someone else (like the Racnos drowning Doctor for example...) there's a big difference between that and the Doctor that we saw in Waters of Mars. I like the Doctor's dark side, but this in Waters of Mars felt forced to me, or slightly out of character with what they've established. or that it didnt have enough story to backup or build up to him getting to that point. I'd rather they have nixed the previous episode and used that to further the character development to get him to this point if that's what they wanted to do.

But like I said, I'm holding out to see what they do with it, and I may feel differently upon second watching.

I am sure there will be an explanation for the Doctor's emotional tangent come the final two episodes. He may be being attacked on some mental level that pushed forward his bottled up darker emotions. Maybe with the Master showing back up there is some plan to make the Doctor reckless or second guess his judgment.
