friggin library. It's only open the hours that I'm at work (+Sat) I guess I can wait 1.5 days. At least I finally got The Princess Bride! (YAY!)

This is the color of my new sewing/office

Sewing/Office!
As you can see, there's a little nooky-thing to the left there. My animation desk's gonna go in there. This was a big selling point of the house for me. HEE.
It's hard to tell, but the blue has a bit of a green tinge to it, it feels like an old depression glass plate. (It's still definitively blue, though.)
I think it'll look great contrasted with white and pink.
I'd -like- to do lots of stuff with molding and panels (ala my icon)... but I think I should leave that for another year. (because it requires TEH MATHS) In the meantime, I got a white leaf-motif ceiling medallion to go with the fan. <3 (approx $20 lowe's.)

Maybe once I put the fabric shelves, etc, in, (HI, IKEA!) I can do something kindof like this on one wall (but blue and white, and with more petit trianon - styled molding flowers.
Or maybe not. We'll see. Also like the wallpaper on the doors in the second photo.

Also... (why do I have a hard time typing this?) this is the future baby(?) room.
It's close to the same value, but has less green to it. The paint guys thought I was crazy for painting two rooms "the same color". (It's NOT THE SAME! It's a very important difference! <3 )

My inspiration was this room, (specifically the white bird appliques on the blue wall) but I figure regardless of whether it's a boy or a girl, blue would be fun to play with.

NOTE: Not pregnant and not trying. So don't get out of hand! haha... I just figured it will be easier to paint the rooms that I KNOW I want colors in before we move in.

The rest of the house is painted this light taupey color:

Please see previous post for rose musing

ALSO, HELLO, OCTOBER, thankyou for bringing 75 F with you! Much obliged!

I can tell the difference between the two blues :) In the past I've painted rooms myself, but after the last time, painters are the way to go. Will the rest of your house be this colorful?

These will probably be the most colorful at least when it comes to paint colors. :)

living room is going to have dark wood and red accents in the cushions and furniture. <3

I've always painted myself before, but it's so much faster this way, and they did a really good job. and I'm sick and working right now...! too much to deal with. much better to go with the painters. :)

I find that taupey color to make rooms look and feel kinda dark. Our place was painted in that color when we moved in and we decided to re-paint it in off-white. My eyes are happy about the extra amount of light it draws in :} (especially when reading or drawing)

Love the blues!
