Commissions 1 (Spartacus, Little Mermaid)

Thanks you guys for commissioning me! I really appreciate it! I'm having fun with these so far and it's not even Comiccon yet...

hezmanagirl wanted a bust of Varinia (Rhona Mitra) from Spartacus,


persoconchii wanted a fairy tale Little Mermaid (not Disney's) with lilies. To me the Little Mermaid was kind of a slip of a thing... (she turns into foam afterall) and I wanted to get that feeling in the drawing and the blue behind her.
couple of my light blue copics died on this one. *_*


a couple non-commission sketches I did last week. (an entirely different Spartacus! Spartacus and the Sun Beneath the Sea! 80's french cartoon)


a silly sketch I did while thinking about my Crusaders and Haters Royal/T outfit (photos later)


and that's it for me to day. LORD IT IS SO HOT. (107 degrees F!) I can't concentrate anymore! I HATE SUMMER.

It's sad that I instantly recognized Rhona Mitra (because I'm an Underworld 3 nerd).

BTW. Do you use a white pencil over your drawings for subtle highlights? Is it better than using white ink? I'm terrible at coloring, so I was just curious.

Yes, I use white pencil, I wouldnt say that one is better, that's just what I use.

Rhona Mitra really impressed me in Rise of the Lycans so I've been watching her earlier movies. So far Doomsday and Spartacus have been my favorites - she plays such strong women I can't help but like her!

I remember the 80's Spartacus cartoon - it used to be on Nickelodeon when I was a kid. I couldn't remeber much about it tho - to the point that I thought I had dreamt it. Thanks for bringing back fond memories.

I used to love that show. Spartacus and the sun beaneath the sea. Bick and Back used to dance all the time-- if I remember right.
