Aj, Judy, me, Mitch, Candice, Ben, Tony and Marcus all went camping in Yosemite a little while ago (mid-June). I finally uploaded my photos! :)

what do you get when you get a bunch of programers, estate planners, trapeze artists, animators and lawyers, etc together and ask them to put up tents, not get eaten by bears and survive in the forest??

(we actually did pretty well.)

Right next to our campsite was a beautiful river with tiny rapids and rocks.

Yosemite has a lot of gorgeous rock faces, waterfalls and big redwood trees.

we rented bikes and explored the valley floor. We found a river and sat next to it to have a picnic. .... with some very friendly squirrels.

at what, we assumed, was Mirror Lake

Judy got +5 cooking skillz.

our last campfire (with s'mores)

packing up

It was really fun to spend some "quality time" with good people. It's easy to get too caught up in conventions and work and schedules. When you're in a forest with no distractions other than nature, it's pretty hard not to appreciate your friends and get some good bonding time in.

That's so beautiful. I'm not much of an outdoorsy person, but I've always wanted to see Yosemite.

That is so pretty. I would love to visit that place but I'll have to be content with Provo, Utah canyon. Now I'm even more excite about the picnic I'm going on tomorrow. >.

When i was old enough to walk, my parents would take me out to go hiking and rough it at Yosemite like every other weekend. I haven't been there in ages since i moved to the east coast. Thanks for posting this :) Ah, nostalgia.
