Two important things today:

******** #1 My server is switching, so aimeemajor.com may have some outages till everything's sorted. In the meantime, contact me on my mac account (if you know it) or email me at aimeerahnATyahoo.com

******** #2 Some moron has been trying to impersonate me.
Dear friends, please don't send your kids, by themselves, to "stay" with a total stranger, no matter how cool/nice the stranger may sound.

Apparently some weirdo is gallavanting around claiming to be me(!) in order to lure young girls across country. (seriously.) A mother contacted me this morning asking if I was me, basically, and if I'd heard anything about her daughter coming to stay with me. Apparently someone had emailed (and CALLED her) claiming to be me/her, saying she'd met her daughter at a doll-meet and had bought a plane ticket for her daughter to come see me/her so that she/I could offer her "opportunities she never had", etc... Even went so far as to list off some stuff from my resume to try to convince the mother that she was me and was a really good person for her daughter to visit. You get the idea.

Thankfully the mother was wise enough not to buy all this. But even if the person had been legit, oh man!! Don't send your daughter by herself to stay with some stranger, no matter who they are. You don't know them!

Anyway, just a headsup. Strangeness afoot.

..... in more positive news, I have SO MANY PICTURES to share with you as soon as my server is stable! Jason edited a bunch of the Blade of the Immortal, Kuroshitsuji, kimono and Fruits Basket cosplays I did a couple weeks ago, .... (here's one of me as Anotsu on DA in the meantime....) ..... AND I've made a lot of progress on my Robe à la Française...! and I've just been taking a lot of photos in general. So, there will be much photo spamming soonish.

Ok, that is messed up. O_O

Also, any parent who would send their child off unaccompanied to a complete stranger (famous or not)needs their head examined. That mother was very wise to confirm this tall-tale. Too many are not.

OMG so scary O_O I'm glad you were notified by this mom to try to put the word out to others who might not be so savvy to catch on that it's weird.

That is so scary! I'm glad you found out about it. Hopefully no one's parents are that dumb. I would definitely but the word out that it is not you, and hopefully that girls mother called the authorities.

Well that takes the creepy award for artist identity theft. I'm used to hearing cases of kids trying to impersonate others to leech off of popularity, but this takes the cake! At the very least the mother decided to check out who you were, but she fails in a big BIG way by taking this seriously in the first place for her daughter's "big opportunities". I hope the mother then had the sense to contact authorities and that the dumb daughter kept the emails she got to catch this creep.

In happier news: yay more photos!

As a mother -- EEEEEEEEKKKKK!! 0__o

How scary -- I DEFINITELY hope the police get involved :(

I had someone taking my pics and posting as "me" on VampireFreaks (a site that I am not involved with), but they put "my" age as 16 -- this was a few years ago, but I'm no 16 ;)

Yeesh.

*hugs*

It's so disgusting that there are perverts and psychopaths in this world who consider falsely manipulating a pure-spirited, inspirational young woman's fame in order to play out their own fantasy.

I'm so sorry that you now have an extra burden on your shoulders, but I'm so glad that mother called! Definitely publicize this on your website, and any major communication outlet you can, in order to put a halt to this crap before someone gets hurt. Be strong, as always :)
