I feel awkward when I'm in situations like that; it's nice to be able to watch critters walking about being critters, but on the other had I don't want 'em to get too used to humans, fearing the worst. I usually wave my arms and yell, not so loud that they panic, but enough for them to get the message.

All the deer I've seen out here are totally Hollywood. I drive by like ten feet away and they're like, "Oh, you don't at least drive a Benz? Then I don't have time to even look at you, much less move."

how ironic!

We have exactly ONE coyote that traipsed across the Golden Gate Bridge (google it) to partake of the yummy deer in the Presidio National Park which is just over the GGB in SF.

funny as hell... I keep thinking the poor coyote is just kinda well-fed but lonely!

How cute!

Maybe you should get one of those deer crossing signs I've seen on the freeway.

Yay, random Finding Nemo reference. (P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney, Australia.)

That's so perfect! I wish mine were small like that. Instead, they're the size of cattle and they have these huge antlers. They also eat my precious hedges!
