hee! My husband (who is a scifi geek like me, but never got into Doctor Who) has begun watching it because I have it on on Fridays and won't let him change the channel. ::stuffs the remote down the sofa cushions:: And after last night, I am *sure* he is enjoying it now! I'm personally a little more drooly in the Torchwood direction, but it's awesome to have him enjoy it with me instead of going back to MMORPG in the computer room.
Spot on Donna drawing! You've captured her completely.
And yes, DW obsession can be scary for people who don't know it well. My family and friends are fairly understanding and tolerant, but sometimes I start going off about sonic screwdrivers at the office and get strange looks...
Much more donna like! And hilarious comic of course.
I need to rewatch Goblet of Fire now to see Tennant as a bad guy. I'm almost scared to because I have this perfect image of him as The Doctor.
I wonder if he is short in person. He seems kind of short. Echelston (sp?) seemed so tall.
If you like him, you'll like Tom Baker, the 4th Doctor. Although I do like Tennant better, I'm not biased by having grown up watching Doctor Who, I saw them all at once (well, actually, I saw 9th, 10th, 4th, 5th, parts of 7- ugh- and now parts of 2nd and 3rd) but whatever. I think Tennant is the best.
Here via doctorwho and I have to say, that drawing of Donna is dead on. The eyes, especially.
Also, it's not "devolving" into watching anything with David Tennant in it. It's expanding your knowledge of his past work for a better appreciation of his craft. Like reading other books written by the author of your favorite novel. At least, that's what I keep telling people.
XD My dad is like. I got in trouble because I got my mom into it and now she all like the Doctor is lets WACTH IT!! FAMILY TIME!!! And he no happy. But oh well.

Date: 2008-07-20 06:07 am (UTC)apparently Tennant is about 6 foot 1, but he's so spindly, it's hard to compare!
