Time to squee about some costume stuff.

Cosworx has just got a bunch of new wig colors, stuff that normally you'd have to dye a wig or order overseas to get. Now we can get it here, easily.
On top of that, they've now got real wefted extensions in all their colors. This may sound like a small thing, but it will make a HUGE time-saving difference for people who like to super-size their wigs. (like us).

Ok, so, oftentimes with costumes, I like to pick something with a crazy wig. Most of the time this involves adding wig-hair extensions to the wig. Sometimes it's because the wig has a weird shape addition (like buns, or big long trailing parts or something) or sometimes it's just because the wig needs to be much much fuller because the character has impossibly puffy hair.... or sometimes it's because I want to change the color of the wig by adding highlights or something.

Unless it is a natural hair color, I have to MAKE a weft myself to use as an extension. Which is irritating in many ways. You have to sew bias tape over it, or use glue... and then it's really tedious to hand sew inside the wig (because the weft isn't as easy to sew as a normal professional weft... it's bulky...)

Some examples of some wigs that used a lot of extensions: Amaterasu, Der Tod, Marie Antionette, Shampoo and Shiva.

For years I've been hoping some company would come out with extension wefts in colors that we use for cosplay. COSWORX has just come out with them!
