How did I not previously realize this.
I wish I could have met him while he was alive.
Please to be telling me your favorite Gene Kelly musicals.
(I've obviously seen Singing in the Rain.)
Lately, it's like I find one thing,... and that leads to something else and then that opens a whole pandora's box of awesome. I love researching stuff. I've found some badass swingdancing stuff lately. I'm so inspired!

Date: 2008-02-07 01:49 am (UTC)Brigadoon is only mildly watchable, and kind of creepy if you actually start thinking about the plot.
Xanadu is a guilty pleasure, and certainly not Kelly's finest performance, but hey, it has Olivia Newton-John on go-go rollerskates. (It also features a completely forgettable performance by the main male character, who is supposed to be the rising young whippersnapper that gets the aging Kelly to dance once again.)
