I need a cardigan

... I need a white cardigan :
-- maybe knitted or crocheted? more closed-knit than the one I'm wearing below.
-- doesn't button up the front. just open, or tie front is fine
-- has loose sleeves (kimono-esque or cocoon would be fine too)
-- preferably middle-length sleeve. not long, not cap sleeve

I have no idea where to look for this. I've tried my usual spots...

I do have a black anthropologie sweater that is the exact cut I'd love to have ALSO in white. I wonder if there is a community out there where I could post a "want to commission" add? (and ask them to roughly copy the black sweater I have and love?) you know, plus some cute crocheted flowers. :P

<---- I got this Vogue Pattern... I think I'm going to make it out of the navy chidori fabric I got from azabuya. I was thinking to have a red contrast belt? Or maybe a darker navy band at the bottom of the dress. I could even try to put white sashiko chidori on the contrast band on the bottom. That would be cute. I want to add some little ruffle or cap sleeves.

Either that or some light blue on white pastoral fabric I've been saving (and put lace around the color and edges)
The pattern professes to be "easy" it better be! I want to work on something simple and fun. I don't feel quite ready to start on costumes, even though I've been working somewhat on those.

I'm really not digging the new fashions lately with the wild 70s and 80s looks that we have going on in the US after seeing the nice sporty but conservative things in the Japanese stores but I've gotten some really decent and simple cardigans from Ann Taylor Loft that might work for you and they're not too horribly expensive.

This might be an odd suggestion or totally wrong, but I had something like sounds like what you were describing when I was younger. It came from a ballet shop. It was some kind of warm-up top for dancers.

as to the shoes, they are SAS.... http://www.sasshoes.com/ .. so actually they are comfort shoes! Part of the reason I have them is because of my large feet, few companies make stuff to fit me, but these do and they are like walking on pillows! :)
