work room and kitsuke

more kitsuke practice! (ignore nappy hair, I'm getting a haircut tomorrow and it won't obey me)
I'm getting better at it! I'm going to start making my maiko hadajuban, etc. soon.


for my maiko juban... most often it's a white pattern (usually flowers) on a red base. Technically for the outfit I'm doing, the fabric should be a ro-weave (open) silk. However, it's impossible to find that in what I need...
Soooo, considering that if this shows at all, it will be showing when I walk around, at the "skirt" part of my kimono (left forreference photo).
Should I use a cotton, like this? or should I use a chirimen rayon like this? ... or something else entirely?

I finally got the chandelier (yes it's pink) installed in my downstairs work room,... and I got my new portable animation desk in, and finally organized all my (well most of) my buttons and lace that were lying around! (I also put my Angelic Pretty dress on the dressform (which I still need to pad out, but oh well)...
Now I just have to put up picture frames, put up the mirror... and possibly add some shelves.
It's really getting there! :)
