I heard the hack in mind was Sam Raimi. So...um....my mileage varies.

that does put different light on it, but I bristle at the idea of new line basically saying they can't be audited.

also, all three were already done by PJ/Weta, I'd love to see the last one done by them, (and while they weren't perfect, I do think they were gorgeous and very good) even if Raimi would do a good job.
