old SNES games
Nov. 11th, 2006 04:56 pmwas earthbound or secret of mana ever released on PS?
(waah the multiplayer on secret of mana was so much fun!)
I'm trying to do some cleaning,... I don't even think I still have my SNES, but somehow I can't seem to part with these old games. (I don't know if they still work, I guess they probably do)

the only reason I'm thinking of selling it is that I'd be more likely to play it on PS2 (easier to set up than trying to find all my old SNES stuff)

Date: 2006-11-12 05:17 pm (UTC)It's the new Nintendo system, coming out this month:
http://us.wii.com/
It can play Gamecube games, and they're slowly but surely making the entire Nintendo library available for download. I hear that upon initial release, there will be 60 downloadable games, and that they'll add 5-10 more a month.
I'm pretty stoked because I can get this, eventually get all of my favourite games for it that have been impossible to get for years.
Also, Children Of Mana recently came out for the DS!

Date: 2006-11-14 10:32 pm (UTC)If you really want to play SoM again, along with a bunch of other awesome games, ROMs are awesome.

They have emulators and ROMs, including Secret of Mana. I still have my SNES and the SoM cartridge, but it's nice to also be able to play it on the PC. They have USB controllers that will work for very cheap at walmart, like $10.
