(haha. sortof :P ) For christmas ( a bit early anyway) I got a Dell UltraSharp FlatScreen LCD monitor that I've been wanting for a while. I was going to get an Apple screen, but it didn't have a way to connect the PS2 to it...
the purpose of this was so that I could have much more windows open when working, as well as play my PS2 on my computer monitor.
the inputs on the DELL:
VGA / DVI-D / S-video / Composite / 4 x USB 2.0
what's the best way to connect the PS2 to the monitor?
right now I'm just using the S-Video cable to connect it.
It looks very crisp but really pixelated. :( (Playonline looks fine, but FFXI looks pixely... my Mac applications look AWESOME though)
the PS2 outputs:
HDMI: HDMI out x 2
Analog: AV MULTI OUT x 1
Digital audio: DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL) x 1
But the big problem is,... how can I get the sound out of the PS2 into my computer speakers (or to some other speakers? The LCD monitor doesn't have builtin speakers or anything. I dont want to play PS2 without sound! THOUGHTS? Is there a way I can connect my PS2 to my computer speakers (I have separate Altec Lansing speakers for my computer.) or should I buy special PS2 speakers and have all this clutter on my desk?
ok.... back to work for me... *_______*
