I was going to order some 1/6 doll clothes, which I haven't done in a really long time... and then I added up how much they were going to cost... and then I looked at the Baby, The Stars Shine Bright site... and realized that a few of the blouses and dresses there might actually just barely fit me,... and for the price of 4 or 5 peices of 1/6 doll clothes, I could get my very own Baby, the Stars Shine Bright dress or shirt,... something I have ALWAYS coveted.

Does anyone know if BTSSB takes international orders?? I know Angelic Pretty doesn't... (I was tempted to get that swan skirt/dress even though it might be a little small... but they'd sold out of the black and white one, which is the one I wanted the most...)

am I just dreaming? my bust size is 90 cm, and my waist is 75 cm... it seems like maybe I might be able to fit in some of them, considering that my boobs are squishy, and I am loosing weight... (I wouldn't get something with longsleeves because my arms are fat... but my waist isn't too bad??)

I tried to try some stuff on when I was in Japan at some of the Closet Child places, everything seemed too small... but the measurements on the site don't seem so bad?? am I just talking myself into this because I want a BTSSB dress so bad? I never actually tried on dresses at BTSSB because I was too afraid when I was in Japan.

Er... which blouses are you looking at? I peeked at a few of them, which said that the chest measurement was 80 to 84 cm. That would be two to three inches smaller than your bust size... one to two bra-sizes smaller, according to the Japanese sizing system. Would that really be comfortable enough for you to wear?

I'm mostly speaking from the experience of buying stuff that I thought I could squeeze into, and discovering that it actually constricted my breathing because it assumed a much smaller ribcage than I had. :( I recognize it may be different for lolita outfits.

yeah, that's the main thing I was concerned about really. I mean, I know when I gradually loose weight, my bra size will go down some... but yeah.

I was looking at stuff like this:
http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/blous/129437.html
(because of the shirring in the back, I thought maybe I might be able to fit?)

also, these seemed like they might fit me:
http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/blous/129415.html
http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/blous/129406.html
http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/blous/129417.html

though I worry about my arms being too fat for stuff like that.
what do you think?

The shirred blouse that's 84 cm... I dunno if the shirring would expand that much, I think the "80 to 84 cm" is meant to indicate "fits 80, but the shirring can expand to 84". Making it stretch much past that might be a bit risky... plus if it's too tight, I'm not sure how comfortable that side zipper would be.

http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/blous/129415.html
This one should definitely fit you, as long as your shoulder span is okay (they say it's about 40 cm shoulder width).

The two links underneath it might be a tighter fit, but again might work if the shoulder width works out.

I don't know about arms being too fat. Unfortunately they don't give an arm circumference measure for the blouses... only an arm length (about 60 cm, apparently).

Oooh, this one has removable sleeves.
Looks like it has a slightly smaller shoulder span, though... 38 cm. :/

yeah, and the sleeves really bell out... so this, arm fatness wise would probably be wise! my shoulder span is about 38 to 40 cm (I'm not that good at measuring) my shoulders are actually kinda narrow compared to the rest of my body. O_O. so maybe this one would work?

(thanks for talking to me about this btw, obviously my limited japanese makes the websites harder for me to understand)

Holy crap, wow. I just measured my shoulder span, and it appears to be 39 cm. And I'm at least a foot shorter than you!

I hate having a teapot physique.

I bet you look perfectly normal! we all look at things that are unusual about us as bad. My ass is HUGE. *L* but thankfully I'm not trying to wear japanese pants. (lolita skirts don't matter how big your ass is!)

it makes it hard for me to use patterns and buy clothes sometimes because my shoulder span is small compared to other parts of my body *_* I always have to take stuff in

>_< um, i stumbled across your livejournal through your site (great stuff!) and I say that your weight loss is evident in all cosplay pictures :D I think you're doing great, and even if you can't buy a dress from the site that you wanted, in a short while, you will be able to! Never give up!

(geek out time! I heart all your cosplays!)

yeah, this is my favorite japanese clothing maker... I really adore them! I bought a necklace from their store just because I'm a DORK. cause I had to buy SOMETHING from them. Their adds are adorable too... are you familiar with this style? cause I could hook you up with a ton of related links *L* I'm such a freak about this stuff

Dood, I can totally see how someone would freak over this stuff! Why don't we have anything like this over here? I'm not very familiar with it at all, ('cept for the enteries from your LJ!) But I just ADORE looking at them, they're just too cool! I only wish I had't forgotten all of my Japanese, that would make browsing the websites so much easier... ;)

If there's something you want from Baby and it says sold out on the webpage you should still try contacting them and ask if they can restock it because sometimes they can get items through another one of their stores. They do take international orders too, but shipping is kind of pricey. I am ordering a pair of shoes and it was going to be over $40 just to ship one pair, so I did a group order to split shipping costs.

Wow, really?!? I don't mind paying shipping, as long as I don't have to do a shopping service, you know?

so, I can just put stuff in my cart and order it? without speaking japanese? (can I email them in english to ask about out of stock stuff?)

What you do is just e-mail them and they will respond to you in English (the person I've always received English e-mails from is Ai at sana@babyssb.co.jp). They'll check to make sure all the items you want are in stock because often items are out of stock that are listed as in stock on the webpage, but they told me if anyone ever wants anything that is out of stock to write to them and they will see what they can do. Once they find out if everything is in stock then they will give you a total and have you pay by bank transfer. Supposedly their shipping is really speedy too!

Btw, I remember you posting you bought the Neko Loli Coat from Bodyline. Do you remember when you purchased that? I have been trying to get ahold of Cosmates for weeks to see if they can order it because it is so cute, but they keep saying they can't order it from Bodyline. Probably the only item Cosmates doesn't have from Bodyline. >.<;

wow, thanks so much! that doesn't sound so bad at all!! I really hope the stuff I want is still in stock! This makes me wonder if I should email Angelic Pretty to see if they have the color I want in that one skirt I liked so much.

I got it in Febuary of this year,

here it is on the bodyline site:

Have you ever tried wearing a REALLY smooshy sports bra and seeing what your measurements come to? When I got my kimono for graduation, I almost couldn't wear it, but I thankfully had a nice sports bra that I'd forgotten I'd packed, and that really made a difference in how the top fit. Of course, that won't help in other areas, but it might make the difference in getting a top closed up properly over the girls! ^^ Good luck getting something BBtSSB, I love their clothing but I doubt I will ever be small enough to think about wearing an outfit of theirs. ^^;;;

For English orders, the info is here:

Keep in mind too that BtSSB sizes run a little smaller than the norm. xP I found that out the hard way.

hrm... so if they say they are my size, they might not be? is that what you mean? cause several of them say 90 cm bust,... but if they are like 82 cm secretly instead because they run small it might not work...??

GRRR. this is so frustrating! I can't afford to go back to japan yet to try these on. *L*... and it's not like I can return it if it doesnt fit!

If it says 90cm and you're 90cm exactly, it may be a leetle bit tight. I got a sweater which I thought for sure would be my size because, well, it was the size I wore and I figured a knit would be stretchy.. wrong. My cousin was very happy to take it off my hands. :P
