WOOT. For my costume alone (not including all the other fancy-pants in our group),... a year of work, 45 yards of velvet, 45 yards (+?) of rhinestone trim, a gross or three of swarovski crystals, and finally are RoV takarazuka dorks.

AJ as Fersen, Tristen Citrine as Monzette, Judy as the Duchess Moncrieff, me as Marie Antionette and Cheryll as... herself hehe.

Is this the actual Marie Antoinette, as in the "eccentric" (crazy haha) lady who use to play shepardess in her artificial village she had constructed on the grounds of Louis' hunting lodge, or is there a character of some sort somewhere of the same name?

Well, yes... and no. Yeah, it's based on the same person, and is (loosely) the story with a couple of fictionalized love stories. However, the costumes we did are from the Takarazuka version of Rose of Versailles, and the costumes from those aren't even in the same realm of being historically accurate.
