Lately, I wanted something different for a purse. Over the past few years I've always used Hello Kitty purses. They're cute and make me happy and are affordable. But I'm liking kindof boho stuff lately, and so after seeing this carved leather satchel at Topshop, I searched for tooled leather bags and found this one for under $30! Hopefully I'll like it when it comes. :)

Also... I'm really enjoying mixing biker jackets and leather with florals and more feminine things. Related to the top photo, I'm really into maps and star maps in particular. I'd really love to get one of these astrolabes for my living room.

Sparkly ankle boots on sale at F21 sadly, limited sizes... but maybe one of you can get them and rock them out like Betty. Though, bordello does make a glitter bootie in size 11!

I love the combo of jeans with floral and white... the floral dresses, the long maxi dresses. Eventually I will be smitten enough to make myself a floral maxi dress because apparently EVERYONE thinks that empire waisted maxi-dresses are the only type one can have right now. (UGH) Also note the cute straw hats and straw bags... J-pop fashion mags, lolita mags, and mainstream stores like F21, H&M and Claire's are in on the straw fad right now.


Love the soft grey jersey skirt with the t-shirt at the bottom. Where can I find a long soft jersey skirt, friends? This would be perfect to wear to work.

it irritates me to no end that F21's clothes don't really last long at all. To the point I won't even buy them, no matter how cheap. The longest lasting piece I've had from there was 4 months and I wore it 3 times.

I rarely buy clothes there, but the accessories are great. (which is what I linked to... <3 )
and if you need some weird on-trend item, sometimes it doesn't matter if it's not as well made, but I hear you!

That's very true! I tend to go to Etsy for accessories now.. I have a couple girls on there that can pretty much make me anything my heart would desire, or know someone who can! I spend too much of my very little extra money there =D

I also couldn't tell you what's trendy or not... Makeup! I know Makeup! That's about as fashiony as i get. :(

Also Aimee, I was going to ask you - do you have a place (hopefully in the US) that you prefer to buy parasols from? Price really doesn't matter to me, I'm just looking for one from a US seller that's also waterproof. Any suggestions?

I don't actually buy parasols in the US, because I love BABY's http://www.babyssb.co.jp/ parasols so much and they aren't -that- expensive. I kinda feel like I use them a lot and I might as well have the few I have be ones that I really really like. But these new lumiebre ones look really cute, too.

Though if you live near SF, you could go to BABY's store in person.

I think I've read EGL one too many times where girls have horror stories of receiving the wrong item from BTSSB after waiting weeks on end. That's really the only reason why I'm wary about buying from their website. (or any businesses' website, really that is in a language I don't speak) Do you buy straight from their site or use a shopping service?

That's weird, I've never had any trouble with BABY and I order from them somewhat regularly. I get my items a few days after I order and it's always the right item. I order direct from their website.
