We have a Facebook Event Page up for the FOLKLORE Art Show coming up on May 16th! Please attend! :)

White Irises from my grandmother's flowerbed

So busy! So tired! But I weeded a little in the garden this morning before going to work. It's peaceful.

I really wish I could spirit off to California to go see the show. The work you've made so far and shared with us looks fantastic. I'm a sucker for mythology and folklore anyway.

Also, I've been getting into Doctor Who. And it's partially your fault. Just saying.

the poppies took so long that I thought I might have done something wrong! but now there are probably about 10 or so little babies around the yard. I also planted some fleabane daisy seeds just in the beds... but... sometimes I wonder if I'm pulling up a weed or if I'm pulling up a seeded plant! so on my second batch of seeds, I planted them in pots first to see. The pots seem to be doing fine for now.

Eden was a bareroot from DA planted at the end of Jan. :D

If you're ever looking for a new flower may I suggest these babies:

http://www.planthaven.com/dahlmyst.html

I've only seen the Mystic Spirit and the Mystic Illusion up close, but I'd make an entire flower garden out of them.

They grow very bushlike if you let them go. They're bloody AMAZING. Our Illusion at the shop had almost black/purple flowers.

IDK. Looked like something up your alley in terms of bright pretty rich bloomage!

those are very cute! They look a bit like cosmos, which I just planted. I'm not really going for super bright colors, though... more mostly pale pastels with a few pops of raspberry and dark purple. :)

Ahhh! Well, the purple are supposedly dark purple, but I can't say since i haven't seen firsthand. But those were the flowers from a couple months ago that I was going to tell you about that I couldn't remember. Go figure i just remembered now =D

aimeeATaimeemajorDOTcom is not an email address... obviously... you have to replace the AT with an @. I post it that way so that I don't get spam bots. Which is why I'm going to screen your post after I reply to it.

so it's aimeeATaimeemajor.com (replace AT with @)

Thanks! :)

I think it is so cool that you can have flowers from your Grandma's flower bed.

Spring is fun when you have irises!

I didn't know we could grow foxgloves here! They are very cool1 (*makes mental note*)

I really love foxgloves... I think we are slightly pushing the zone here, but I figured I would give it a shot and see what happens. they're biennial though... so I guess you can kinda treat them as annuals.
