I love living in California, love my life, my home, my job, my friends, the weather, what I have access to... But it really sucks that my family lives 3,000 miles away. I'm so sad. :( Put my mom on a shuttle. Gotta pull myself up and get some serious work done today, though.

I can kinda relate...I'm living in Oregon (moved here originally for college) and my family lives on an island in Alaska. They feel pretty far away because I don't have a single relative here in Oregon, either.

;-; I know my mom is in NYC and I'm in Seattle. She's coming to visit for the first time in 2 years because it's so far. I miss her :(

Living in Denmark with my family spread out in Canada and the U.S was a struggle for me. It's such a shame to be far away from family and loved ones, but it does make it that much sweeter when you see them again, and harder to take them for granted. (I think anyways).

It's funny, no matter how grown up you get, nothing is as hard as your mommy leaving.

I'm sure she misses you, too. Sorry you're sad today.

That must be so hard to say goodbye, when you live so far apart. Hopefully the distance makes you cherish your time with your family a bit more then you might otherwise? That picture of your mom in the poppies is really sweet.
Sometimes I feel having my family so close, I kind of neglect them or take it for granted... Xo

Aw, I'm sorry. Glad you got to spend some time with her, but it's always hard to say goodbye!

Aw *hug*. I can relate too. My parents live 7000km away across the Atlantic...I haven't seen them in two years due to going back to college for Maya Animation and air fare going up :(
