More ALA photos (Elisabeth)

I mainly went to ALA to hang out with Mandi, Annie, Danielle and company. Met some new folks and got to know some folks better! Everyone I spent time with was awesome. See some of you suckers at the same place next month for Gallifrey!
Some photos thanks to kittykatie, darth-teca and gentileschi. All the photos that are awesome were not taken by me.
Mandi wanted to do her Luigi costume from Takarazuka's Elisabeth, and asked if some of us to bring out our costumes, too. I pretty much never say no to an excuse to wear Der Tod. <3 (... I think I wanna make another Der Tod outfit. I forgot how much I like it. ) Some of this will only make sense to people who are fans of the musical, but whatever, they're fun/funny photos.
I think it's kinda amusing that we have a perfect double set (2 Luigi, 2 Elisabeth, 2 Der Tod).

what happened when some little girls wanted to pose with the "princess":
while in Elisabeth, we totally did Karaoke during Danielle's shift. (Songs included "All I Ask of You", "Oh, What a Night" and some Wicked. <3)
and then we got given Hall Cosplay awards

Sunday we met up for crepes at this amazing place somewhere near LAX with some of the iPlay girls, too. Seriously the best crepes I've had in at least a year.
Annie and I took a detour to get Pompadour lace in the fabric district while the Colorado folks hit ALA a bit,... and then we re-met up later in Little Tokyo for Curry House.

Oh hey! On the eyeshadow front have you ever tried MAC Paint Pots as a base? They give an amazing color boost and extend wear to your shadows, especially if you are using loose pigments. =3

Date: 2010-01-19 02:54 pm (UTC)as to eyeshadow, I use a base,... but I just misguaged how well it would show up on camera, it's like you have to get to HO levels before it looks really dramatic. lol.
