How to make a clover-chain
Apr. 16th, 2009 05:51 pm
Back when we had that picnic at Balboa, Michelle said she'd never made a daisy chain (or clover chain)... which frankly shocked me and got me thinking that perhaps other folks do not know how to make flower chains, either! (Not that it's hard...)
Here you go, Michelle!
STEP 1:
Find an awesome place to sit that has lots of clover or dandelions.
Don't sit on bees.

STEP 2:
Pic a bunch of clover, try to leave the stems long.

STEP 3:
use your fingernail to press a small hole into the stem of one of the flowers. Be careful not to break the stem.

STEP 4:
Insert another flower stem into the hole you made. This starts the chain. Now put a hole in the second flower stem, insert the third flower, and so on. Clip off the excess stem as you complete your chain.

STEP 5:
Feel awesome.

today's tea is very appropriate.
Chinese black tea with rose petals!
(I got it yesterday at King's Head for a lark)
I had a nice relaxing day at Huntington Gardens today... it's one of my favorite places around here. I really needed a "day off".
I feel much better now.
This flower below is "chinese snowball"

I feel like I need to sing Versailles no Bara themesong.

... oh....! So lucky! I got to see wisteria in full bloom!

I sat right here for a long time and did some proofing on my book manuscript. (Thanks, Tony!)

There were a few fancy sakura stragglers still blooming, too.

I also took a few doll photos:
