Went to Huntington Gardens today with Annie and Ali

Here's some quick video I took of one of the dances:

Chinese Magnolia in full bloom... so glad I didn't miss it!

regretably though, the plums were already past peak (how did THAT happen!) These are strategic shots of like the 5 flowers that were left. lol.

... which means that these will probably be blooming soon.

some of the double cherries (I think it's them) are budding:

another type of plum:

Chinese Garden:

now... NINJA TIME!

hey. we can see you.

accidental super-asian sketchers matching.

Lovely picture. hard to believe only two states over is such a pretty and warm looking place while we still have a foot of snow on the ground here.

Lovely OMAKE. ^^

Beautiful photos, and lucky you for catching it on such a great day and good weather! I definitely want to pay a visit to the Huntington now. Is the Chinese garden finished being constructed already? It's been a while since I've been there and seen the big crater in the ground where they were putting it...

Gorgeous shots of the magnolia. It all looks even more summery than it is because I'm pretty much typing from a snowdrift.

That looks like a kitty that needs skritching to me.

How beautiful it all is. I love the shots of the magnolia... Looks like you had such lovely weather for it all too. (Britain is in the midst of very heavy snowstorms at the moment, so these pics were so uplifting to look at. ♥)

*fusses for Youta*

Did you guys get a chance to go through the camillia "forest" that is in the pathways right above the Japanese gardens? I think this is the time of year they are in full bloom. I never knew about it until a friend of mine (who was into horticulture) showed me. I swear, the Huntington must have at least a thousand different camillias.

AWWWWWW KITTY!!!! ^_^

That's cool! Do they have some kind of Chinese New Year event/celebration at the Huntington every year? If so, I need to remember for next year. Always want to do something for Chinese New Year, but we usually only end up going to a Chinese buffett with the fam. Would like to diversity a little. :p

Your photography is just beautiful... thanks for sharing all the lovely blooms!
