Another one from my 09 sketchbook. Still love that opening Thundercats sequence.
Really appreciate all the advice you guys gave me on whether I should get my grandmother's dining room furniture or not (and secretary.) We decided to go for it. So it's slowly making it's way across the country next week. I feel guilty that it has to travel so far... but, I think it was the right choice. I'll start on the chinoiserie mural when I get a chance (when is that? haha...)
Gardening news: As soon as it stops raining, the landscaper is going to start on the backyard! AND I got some more roses in! I got one big rose to give the back yard something other than a lot of tiny plants to look at. The big'un is Belle Storey. Also, I got a Sydonie that's a little bigger, other than that, they are tiny little bands! <3 If you're curious,... this is how the roses travel across country from teh internets. Their pots are stapled or taped to the outer box to keep the roses from moving. It's pretty clever.
I did my final rose order from David Austin, too, but those won't come till January. (I ordered Mortimer Sackler, Jude the Obscure, Eden cl., James Galway cl. and William Shakespeare 2000.)
The companies I ordered from were:
