... despite living at our new address for several months, and having called the Post Office a long time ago to make sure they registered our address... people trying to "click and ship" through USPS.com still get our address as "not existing". Pizza places still can't find us and neither does google maps. Sometimes the postman just doesn't come at all. How many times do I have to call you, USPS? This will be my fourth time. Ridiculous. This is a run-of-the-mill thing, I shouldn't have to do this.

So have a tree and an angry-aimee for today's arts. I can't manage anything else because I spent the entire day thumbnailing 5 Futurama sequences and my brain is SPENT!

also makes me angry: myspace took over imeem. GOD, I HATE MYSPACE.

however,... this photoshoot of various actors reprising their iconic roles wearing normal clothes, is pretty awesome. The poses are really strong and there's something revealing about it. (thanks to macbeemer)

I wonder if General Zod had similar problems getting his mail delivered to the Phantom Zone.

Aw... they got Gerard, Viggo and Sam Neil in there! Cool!

About the address thing, WTF is up with that? I assume you are in a new neighborhood or something? But don't builders tell the post office they are .... you know ... BUILDING houses?

(a) yes, new neighborhood

(b) yes, the builders tell them.

(c) we notified them before we moved in, after we moved in, a week or two later when the post man was STILL NOT DELIVERING ANY MAIL... and then again after that when people kept getting the "this doesn't exist" thing.

man! I never would have guessed we'd have this much trouble with a new house! it's ridiculous! This should be like checking off a box.

Okay, you may have already done this and/or it might seem like overkill, but have you reported the issues to the Postmaster General's office? (*shrug*)

*hugs* I hear you on the address thing. I had a semester's worth of textbooks lost by UPS a few years ago and I didn't even move, they just changed the zip code in my neighborhood! I still have trouble with it and we've had this zip code for *thinks* at least seven years now.

Your annoyed Aimee doodle is adorable tho!

Thank you for that link to the photoshoots too -- that is really incredible!

At least for the regular mail, maybe you can set up a PO box or something... at least you'd get your bills (yay) and they won't cut off your power...

I was try to set up internet access at my new place about a year ago, and Comcast told me my address didn't exist in their system. This also happened when I tried to mapquest anything starting with my address... XP Thankfully I'm on the map now, but I know how frustrating that can be!

Ugh! I know exactly what you're going through. My last apartment had the same issue -- the entire complex was new and *no one* knew about it (what made it worse, they were set back a bit and nearly impossible to see from the road). I had to fight with everyone about my address, but it was the absolute worst when an international package needed to be delivered... >_<;;;

I had a similar problem before too... but mine was with a POBOX number, not a home address;;

Hopefully, they will "notice" someone where and get everything straight!!

(Oh and btw, may I has your mailing address? I would like to send you a holiday card^^)
