Limited Commission open
Jul. 18th, 2009 01:36 pm
EDIT: I've gotten enough commissions now to do at Comic-con, but if you'd still like a commission, you can go ahead and reply to this and I'll see if I still have time when I get back from Comic-con. (I probably will, but I don't want to commit to more commissions until I finish these) If I'm already discussing your commission with you then let's keep talking, too. :)
---------------------------
Since I'll be sitting around a lot at Comic-con and I could use some cash, I've decided to do a couple commissions. I'm willing to take on only a few at this point to see how it goes. I'll pick/accept based on how much I want to do your commission.
Please don't be afraid to ask. <3 <3 I apologize that I have limited time and energy right now, so I have to be a little picky about what I accept so that I can do the best possible job for you. I only want to pick things that inspire me so that I can do something really great for you.
I very rarely do commissions, so if you've been thinking about it,...!
I'd love to do some girly commission, btw. (in general something that is fairytale-ish, mythical, victorian, 18th century... or lolita or just plain frilly)
I AM willing to do nonfrilly things, too.
Ask for something awesome or fun and I'll probably take your commission. <3
I'll charge more based on how long it will take me to do the image.
If it's just a bust, one character, black and white drawing, that'll be cheapest (and I'll be willing to take more of these simple types). For simple stuff like this, I'll charge $15. Color bust would be $30. (simple/cartoony, more for more realistic)
Full body is more complex,... if you want some type of background element or more than one character, that becomes more complex, etc. I can't really give you a quote on that without hearing your idea.
In general the more cute/cartoony the image, the easier it is, so cheaper. More realistic and detailed items would take longer and cost more.
IMPT: I won't do anything overly sexual, violent or gross. No copyrighted characters (unless you own the copyright). No building-scapes or full-on-robots.
I retain the right to post the completed image where I like (including my personal website and portfolios). If you are going to use the artwork for something other than personal use, we have to discuss that before you commission me. (ie if it is for a business, sale or for publication, etc... my prices are different.)
You must specify if you want me to mail you the original artwork as part of the request, especially if you want color, as I'll have to do the entire drawing a particular way in order to do a color that you can keep.
Please note that due to the nature of how I'm doing these, I cannot take changes. I'll start drawing and then I'll complete it.
The commissions I actually accept at this time would need to be paid for before Wed, July 22 (via paypal) . The other option is if you are going to Comic-con, you can pay me in cash there. But I won't start till you pay me obviously. Paypal in advance is best. I would hope to be completed with them by the end of July. (I'm only going to take a small number of them, so this should be completely feasible.)
If I get lots of cool requests, I may take a few as "definitely right now" paid commissions and then put a waiting list (nonpaid) to consider when I get back from SDCC.

It would be done by the end of July.
Reference pictures from anywhere would be fine. :)
And yes, it would be totally fine to use for your wedding, that would be cool. Are you considering a couple picture?

Date: 2009-07-18 09:33 pm (UTC)The first was a scene from a story I was writing. Seeing how you've drawn pictures of real actors before I thought you might best be able to draw it for me this post on my journal (http://yacoba.livejournal.com/410507.html) has all the details and reference pictures of the characters involved.
The other was an original character from my own original novel [I've been collecting pictures of him drawn by as many artists as I can] Names Erik, he's a winged humanoid. I can give you more details on him if you're interested.
Thanks for at least considering them. And if you don't have the time now, I wouldn't mind waiting at all if there would be a better time.
