I waited months for them to start taking orders for "special size" shoes again... and then I waited months after I ordered to get my shoes.

IT WAS WORTH IT.

For years I've tried various shoe places online to get lolita-style shoes... but 90% of the time I end up unhappy with the shoes. They don't fit right, or they're kinda weird looking... or not that well made,... etc... (and this is even with me measuring my feet exactly, I still somehow manage to get the wrong size... and have to send them back and try another size and then give up, etc, etc... the cost ends up being huge due to shipping, selling at a loss when they don't fit,... buying again, etc... at least piperlime.com and zappos.com, etc, do free shipping both ways and returns! ) You girls who can just order whatever you want and get it in a few days, count your blessings!

Even though they are somewhat sporadic, RoseChocolat makes my favorite lolita shoes. (One Day in Paradise being my second as they ship fast, are cheaper and have more colors... but I like RC's quality better.)

Look at my new shoes! The photo quality is bad... but look at those heart rhinestone buckles and all the bow details! :D They look -really- nice, and they fit me. They sent me a bunch of extra shoe bows, too. They're also the ONLY place I've found that does Rocking Horse-like shoes in my size. They even have this lower-heeled version (which is what I got, since I'm tall enough already, thankyou!) I don't even know how long I've wanted rocking horse shoes that fit me well.

I'M SO HAPPY, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND MY TRIALS!
(Mitch is looking at me like I'm crazy)

I totally understand! (size 11, and only 5'9"!) I really like the black shoes and would actually wear those...I had such an awful time even finding shoes for my wedding, or even the wedding I went to on Saturday (somehow, even the Dansko mary janes I wound up with ended up making my heels bleed and the edges of my toes hurt T_T how is that POSSIBLE)

Anyway, they look great! Go you!

Dude, I know; I'm an 11! Although, ha, I'm goth so I love the big stupid platform Demonias so I can be REALLY tall. (Not the heels, the flats -- although they changed the insoles a while ago and I like them less. I could just put insoles in, but ehhhhh, I need to massively mod the new ones I got, anyway.) My feet are actually kind of wide 11s, too, so I can't fit most "girly" styles... but clunky maryjanes are my friend.

I've never bothered to get lolita shoes, even when I'm feeling it, because of the huge hassle. I mean, heck, don't actual VWs come in big manly sizes? I've often toyed with the idea of just saving up and tracking down THOSE, but... yeah. I kind of think I prefer foam soles; when I was younger I liked wooden platforms, but nowadays I'd probably die. XD

SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are fantabulous, a! And I do feel your pain with a six-foot tall daughter - there's so much she's hard to fit for - same with her six foot five pa - inseams are ridiculously difficult!

What a lovely collection of shoes!!!

Also, thank you thank you thank you for posting RoseChocolat. I have been looking for Rocking Horse shoes with a lower heel for a while, and couldn't find any! Not that I am tall to begin with, but I don't feel comfortable becoming extra tall all of a sudden *hehe*

Those shoes ARE SO CUTE!! <3 Did the second pair come with one white and one black or did you end up getting two pairs of that type?

Wow, that's cool! I think when I'm ready to get some REAL GL Shoes, I really must check them out. ;)

Yesterday my friend passed to me her Bodyline shoes (she can't fit it into her luggage to bring home to Belgium) and tho' it fit me lengthwise, it was a SQUEEZE on the front and to close the straps as I have wide feet and fat ankles so I guess I should look to having my shoes customed-made instead of buying off the rack.
