Coffee Prince Fanart

Obviously could not help myself.
Suggestions for more dramas that are as adorable as Coffee Prince, welcome. <3
Hope to color this later, but that's not going to happen tonight.
I'm going to go to bed now, I'm wrecked! Had trouble sleeping lately.

I'll post more commissions tomorrow. (Still open for a few more commissions!)

Go Eun Chan and Choi Han Kyul

Hmm, maybe I will go watch that!

I enjoyed Fated To Love You from Taiwan, maybe give it a go? http://www.mysoju.com/fated-to-love-you/

Aw, cute!
I was so sad when Lee Eon died (the guy who played the goofy Min Yub "my Angel!").

I made a Coffee Prince fan mix but I only posted a screenshot of it, not the actual mix.

My friend and I have been trying to find a contemporary-set Korean show that is as female-friendly as Coffee Prince, but we haven't succeeded. "Boys over Flowers" went bad pretty fast. I still have hope for "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" but she hasn't been able to get into it. It has baked goods, though. ;) Always a plus! I do plan to watch the historical show "Jewel in the Palace" someday, but I'll have to actually buy or rent it, I think.

could be jdrama too, I'm not particular to korean (in fact i prefer Japanese as it helps me learn the language a little)

yeah, Lee Eon, it's so sad.

It depends on your schmoop tolerance? I like schmoop (by which I mean...sentimentality, I guess, rather than melodrama). I really enjoyed "My Little Chef" even though it has virtually nothing to do with "Coffee Prince." It's hard to think of a single drama that combines all the strengths (and personal buttons, LOL) of CP. I've seen and started some excellent j-dramas (Gokusen, Odoru Daisousasen, Churasan, Kimi wa Petto, Trick, Densha Otoko, etc., and heck, I even liked the season of Kinpachi Sensei where Ueto Aya was a high schooler struggling with being transgender), but I haven't seen anything with CP's magic combination. But yeah, language improvement is one reason I'm watching j-dramas too. It's hard to get recommendations from j-dorama.com, because, honestly, most j-dorama users are really into melodramatic romances and I'm just not.

I just finished a jdrama that you might like called Osen. It features Japanese culture, food, kimono, and has a likeable lead actress to boot.

I also recommend Nobuta wo Produce(my all time fav j-drama) and Mei-chan no Shitsuji(pure ridiculous fun).

As for k-dramas, I haven't found one as awesome as Coffee Prince, but there are some good movies such as Antique Bakery, Hello Schoolgirl, My Sassy Girl, and Virgin Snow. I would recommend the series Goong, but it gets draggy and melodramatic towards the end.
