This is how I feel about comic-con this year:

On Wed I drove down to SD with Nicole (sekiria) and Eric Goldberg. We had fun talking about fashion and animation. <3 On the way down, I saw the Irvine Chick Fil A from the window and detoured. YUM YUM. Nicole had never had it, and Eric hadn't had it for like 20 years.

We got into SD at just about the right time and I got my booth set up and got my badges with no trouble.

The car next to me at the hotel had THIS license plate. Good Omen?



So for about 3-4 years now Derek (Marishi10), Crisso (Haminal) and I have run a booth together at ComicCon. We each sell our separate stuff, but watch the booth for each other whenever one of us wants to go to something else. It works out really well. :)

Each year I enjoy running the booth more. It's cool cause people come to find me, and I see more people randomly, I think, than if I was just wandering around. I got to see a lot of former/current coworkers and friends. I'm not able to go to as many panels/events... but the few I really really want to go to, I can go to. :)

Lots of people came by to tell me how much they enjoyed my book... which really makes me feel like a million bucks, truly. Thankyou. I love you guys THIIIIIIIIIIS MUCH.


At some point some CNN blog ladies interviewed me and Crisso about Futurama and the con in general.

A lot of people asked us about what was going to happen in the new Futurama, or what was going to happen with the voice actors... but we really don't know.

By the way, on TUESDAY, Crisso saw people sleeping on the ground outside waiting for the Twilight panel. Translation: people slept on the pavement for TWO NIGHTS to get to see Edward Cullen. Holy crap, dude. I can't even function if I get less than 7 hours of sleep in a really fluffy comfy bed.
diavana saw R.Pattz getting into his car... and everyone FREAKED OUT and chased after his car. (They did this with photos of R.Pattz ironed onto their pants. )
To be fair, I'm really looking forward to the next movie. haha. XD. Nicole got me half-naked native american Twilight werewolf trading cards. XD


Almost as popular with grown men as scantily clad booth babes... it's the GOOD FAIRIES! (AJ, Cheryll, Me and Judy)
I swear, there was like a collective SQUEAL from people as they walked by. ha ha.


Since we were exhibitors, we'd set up our booth early and then walk around the dealer's room a bit to get the lay of the land, so to speak. It's so crowded later and we have to run the booth... so the morning is really the only time we get a chance to see stuff truly.

(Heath, if you read this, I took this photo for you. lol. Yes, that is a wine cube.... yes, that's a bag from Laduree in London...a CLAMP Mokona bag I stole from Nancy... and the Doctor Who bag that I almost got beat up to get.) This is actually pretty "clean" for me.

We went to the crab shack with our crew on one of the nights and I made Josh call Crisso to give her directions. ... made him call on MY PHONE.

We also had some pretty fabulous hawaiian one of the other nights. The weather was pretty mild the whole time, too, which is pretty fabulous considering that we were wearing ridiculous costumes 60% of the time.


While we're talking about food... some nice ladies spontaneously gave me a box of chocolate macadamia nuts. WHAT? SO AWESOME. They were wonderfully delicious. I rationed them.


Fri night Josh and I went improve dancing with the lovely Kat and Matt Miller. <3 It was in the same lounge that, the previous night, had held the kinda lame Myspace party. Well this night, it had the same not-that-exciting dancing ladies. I think Matt shamed them with his dancing. haha.

I got a ticket on the way out, would you believe it?! I was, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" I was about 50 feet from my apt, and I didn't "FULLY STOP" at a stopsign. I almost cried.

Castle was there last year, maybe will come back next year? can you imagine the pandamonium if you'd worn your She Ra there? :D
