distraction! me as Ayame from Fruits Basket on DA by Jason

Despite being stumped by patternese and calling Judy like 3 times, (I L U, JUDY) I now have a stays, lining, pocket hoops and petticoat #1. Mind, there's some excess length on the petti, (I'll hem it when I'm done with the gown just to make sure...) and I didn't bother checking my dummy to my height.
Tomorrow I cut out the outer gown (EEP!)

Wonderful start! I'm excited to see what fabrics you'll work with next!

With all the layers you intend to do, how much do you think your costume will weigh in the end? <-- hello odd question!

Gah, your stays are gorgeous. Are they from a period pattern?

Eeee, I can't wait to see the main dress. Although it's not a period i think I would want to make for myself, it's still absolutely beautiful to see it being all put together.

All the patterns are JP Ryan. :)

Thanks! I love this period, as it starts to take shape, I really like it. very romantic.

Looks good so far. ^_^ Your petticoat seems to have worked out well. I've been trying to do one from a pattern in a book for Ekaterina and pulling my hair out because it came out way bigger than the book said it should; I've had to take mine in twice and cut out two entire panels!
