TODAY'S TEA: Fortnum & Mason Earl Gray Classic

Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder is out on DVD now!
I worked on this one doing character layout (as well as all of the other Futurama DVDs and a couple seasons of the original show). There's a really cute Fry/Leela sequence in particular that I remember. Also my friend Derek (*cough* aka DANCINGTARDISMAN) is on the "How To Draw" extras. (Pst. Derek and Crisso are on the previous "extras" DVDs, too.)
If you like Futurama, show your support!

.... why do I love brooches so much!
all I'm waiting for is my gloves and my brooch!

ITWGY: Bought it, watched it, didn't hate it! The storylines of the last two films were really disappointing, but this one actually brought the internal truth of the actual show, the Fry/Leela love story, the "save the universe" plot, were definitely lost in Beast with a Billion Backs and Bender's Game, which were stupid in a way that made me think Seth McFarlane had a HUGE hand in writing them. This one was MUCH better. Bravo!

yeah, unfortunately we have absolutely no hand in the storyline, only the visuals. :) But I do like this one. :)

The visuals on the films are always lovely, that was never the problem!

just white ones with those stitch accents, not really "special". I ordered some but they haven't come in yet. at least I think I did? O_O. guess I could get them downtown if they don't come by this weekend.

I didn't know you were a Kuroshitsuji fan! (I'm a huge one...)

Are you cosplaying someone?

yup! I like the art style a lot! I'm going to do Sebastian next week. I have a lot of his clothing already, so it makes it easy.

Sweet! I love the art, too. The heavy use of blacks and angles, and victorian details... Yum. :D

Niice! I cosplay Madam Red- I have yet to get GOOD shots of her, unfortunately... But rofl, Hello 13 yards of velveteen. @_@

You'll be an awesome Sebastian!! You know they made a lapel broach that mimics his exactly? I've seen a few Sebastians wearing it... The Phantomhive pin is on my cellphone, actually... XD

Thanks! hopefully I won't look too silly. :D
yeah, I'd like his exact one (sebastian's) but I haven't been able to find it. looks like it was sold out at animate a while ago? anyway, if you see one, I might want it! I think I can somewhat canibalize this one.

All the character designs are great from it! Madam Red, especially! :)

Yeah, they're LONG GONE from animate; Kuroshitsuji goods sell like hotcakes. I've seen them floating around ebay though, with Ciel's ring. Unfortunately they like to scalp them. Sometimes they pop up on the Kuroshitsuji community.

I love the character designs, and all the glorious clothes. Phew! Replicating her design was difficult, to put it mildly... But super-fun to have to gather my skirts and pettis up to walk. And hooray, bustled up train!

yes, anything victorian inspired like that is going to take a bit of work! thankfully I already had a tailcoat. http://pupe.ameba.jp/item/GB0YNX3N4RHp/ujqIHquPqr85/

re the pin, I'd make it, but it's so tiny, and really this other pin would be closer. :)
I haven't seen the other one on ebay though, just this one!

It was only the... third? Fourth? Time that I had tackled sewing for a person, much less a huge Victorian ballgown. fdlkfms, thankfully I had located old Victorian patterns, combined them with modern ones... It worked out eventually. XD One day, maybe I'll be up to your caliber of cosplaying!

Hmm, There aren't any up now. They were an Animate exclusive. I saw one at Katsucon last weekend though! Maybe one will pop up? ^^ In any case, this one should be easy to modify. It's pewter, so just snap the little loop right off. :D
