Man, I actually haven't bought normal comics in a long time. I almost saw a Wolverine comic that I didn't hate. haha. Looking forward to the movie though. Don't really care if it sucks.

I'm getting old. $2.99 seems like a lot. lol.

Blue Monday - Thieves Like Us - by Chynna Clugston
I've always really liked her stuff, especially Blue Monday and Scooter Girl. Always makes me laugh and has a lot of heart. Mitch'll steal it from me when I get home.

Sandman - The Dream Hunters - by Neil Gaiman and P. Craig Russell
you can see some previews of it here to get an idea.. I picked it up for the interesting flow in the layout of the pages. (just the opening starfield set of pages alone were reason enough to buy the book.) Reminds me of Mignola just a bit. Really gorgeous!

Hellboy - The Wild Hunt - By Mike Mignola and Duncan Fegredo
I'd been avoiding this one because I bristle a bit at not seeing Mignola doing the art,... but Fegredo's stuff is really lovely, actually, so I finally caved.

and then of course DMW 403. Aw DWM, you're in on it with RTD with the tease, aren't you!

Ah sweet! I've been waiting for the new issue of Blue Monday to come out :) I also like Scooter Girl. Strangetown is fun to read, I"m hoping she'll complete that story.

If Marvel and DC did fat, low-priced anthology books like Shonen Jump then I'd be more inclined to buy. Most of the drivel currently on the market wouldn't be worth buying even then, though.

Wolverine is in everything I swear. Not only does he have his own comic, but he is in X-men, X-Force, and the Avengers. Jesus christ, how does he manage to do all that at the same time. And how do the writers keep track of his continuity....it's madness. I know Logan is popular, but it's getting ridiculous.

They do release graphic novels for major storylines, but yeah I do wish they would have normal collected editions like manga. It would make things easier to follow. At least Top Cow has the right idea putting out those compendiums for The Darkness and Witchblade, but those are expensive as hell. But Top Cow also does the smaller collected editions too (though nothing thick like a manga volume).

There hasn't been anything decent lately in the X-men universe. Though I thought House of M was excellent and I did like Messiah Complex. Then again neither of those is recent.
