Just a reminder, I'll be in London from Christmas eve till Jan 4th, and I won't really have access to internet. So if you need something "important" from me, this weekend is your last chance to get any type relatively coherant response from me. lol. My apologies for being less attentive the past month, I've just got way too much going on.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to monopolizing my husband's attention for 10 days, having amusing mishaps in a foreign country (you know I'm going to do SOMETHING stupid), eating lots of British candy, tea and curry, and in general being a geeky tourist.

it's ok though because it rained the next day.

I wanted to make something non-Christmasy, sweet and folksy to cheer up my mom. I got inspired by some wreathes on etsy and broke out the glue gun. All used items are from my stash except the bird (who somehow fatefully, was the only bird I could find at Joann's!) Mom doesn't really surf the net, so I'm pretty sure she won't see this. :}

I can't wait to hear about your trip adventures! Have a wonderful time ^_^

P.S. I ran into a cute David Tennant lookalike at a party the other day and MAY have pulled him into my lap and smooched him and took a picture for posterity. Only a rumor until I can get the hypothetical pictures off my camera! ;D

I haven't been to the UK is about seven years *sniff* and I finally get to go back for my 40th in about ten months! I'll have to read your report on what you did to give me some ideas of what to do this time.

Boots the Chemist was one place my cousins took me a few times to get snacks when I was there and it reminded me a little of Woolworths with the huge makeup area, big candy choices and little snacks to eat. Next is their high street version of Gap and I plan on stocking up when I get there! You can check out their stuff on next.co.uk .

If you make it to Windsor, there's a really old tea shop around the corner that was built around the Tudor era. You'll know it's the one since it leans a little bit. The pub across the street (Horse and Rider, I think) was small, homey and had some great bangers and mash. Yum!

To sum up, I'm totally jealous and hope you and your husband have lots and lots of fun! Wave at Harrods for me, would ya? *sigh*

Cute wreath, surely she'll love it.

Also, be sure to have some jaffa cakes (orange is best) when you're there! Nom.

There is also an odd soft drink my brit friends wanted me to try when I was on layover there. It's called IRN BRU I think, you can spot it by it's scary toxic orange color. It's not bad, but it's really strong!

Have a wonderful trip!

Have a Great Trip!

That wreath is adorable! It's serene *and* cheerful - I think it could put a smile on anyone's face.

Enjoy London - oh, forgot to suggest, if/when you hit up Carnaby Street, I suggest a stop into B Never too Busy to be Beautiful next to the Lush store. I think it's the kind of place that's right up your alley. It's a Lush spinoff with amazing cosmetics.

Buh, I should have actually read the page - looks like they've moved and have a second shop. Verrry interesting!

What a great time for you to go, the Dollar is stronger than it has been in a while! Even though our economy sucks, theirs does too. So now the Pound is less than $1.50 (it was over $2 like a year and a half ago).

If you go to Covent Garden, there's a cookie place that has the best cookies. I think it's called Ben's Cookies. Soooo good. They also do a cookies-n-milkshake combo. Get some and eat them fresh!

Hi Aimee,

Beautiful wreath 8D! I wish I could whip up something like that with scraps! Now that's ingenious! Have fun in England!
