Hey, Aimee - quick question while you're on the subject of books. What did you think about Eric Goldberg's 'Character Animation Crash Course!'? My boyfriend is feeling uninspired to animate lately, and I thought it would be a good Christmas present for him. I'd value your opinion of it way more than those on Amazon.com :)
I think it's a wonderful book and Eric Goldberg has some really unique ideas about approaching animation, I would really think that anyone whose interested in animation would enjoy it.
How do you like the Mme de Pompadour bio? I recently read a bio of Nancy Mitford and her sisters and it was really fascinating. They were certainly an eccentric family.
I definitely enjoyed it! Some of the segments about the political system were a little hard to follow (with all the names and such) but I enjoyed it. She seemed to really capture the feeling of Mme. PomPom's life and relationships.
