Good Morning!
Mitch's contribution to the morning ---->
He gets up really early to go to the gym,... so sometimes he leaves me notes on my computer.

I'm totally going to see Twilight this week and wear glitter and vampire fangs. That movie is going to suck so hard. I can't wait. My inner 13 year old is very excited. I have really nice vampire fangs, too. They were made by a really scary goth ex-dental hygienist.

<---- Meta put white swanlake on their blog this morning
... and while it's a tad over the top,... I think I'm going to have to keep the white swanlake. I love the pale whiteXblue coordinate. I need more blue jewelry and stuff. :)

while I'm squeeing over babyblue...
I made the skirt below yesterday, too. More stockpiled fabric from Japan. It feels like it's "free" because it's been sitting in my garage so long!
Took about 2 hours tops. I'll have to remember that next time I feel like I don't have time to make a skirt. I don't think I can wear it without a petticoat, it likes to be poofy.

I don't think the Twilight movie will such that much. Granted, they can't put everything that was in the first book into one movie, but since the author watched over every little bit of the movie's production; it should be decent. As long as the author is happy and excited about it, I think the fans will be too.

Also, get ready for some odd looks if you wear fangs; since the vampires in the Twilight series don't have fangs. They made a pretty big point of it in the last 2 books.

I'll probably wear my "Twilight - Vampires Are Forever" sweatshirt to the movie (The word "Twilight" is done in rhinestones), but I don't know if I'll be well enough to see it the day it comes out.

LOVE the fabric of the skirt you made! And the bow lace trim is so cute!

:) I dont really like the books. I read all three (on audio book).... but the reason I read them was that I thought they were really funny. :)
Actually to be fair, I think the movie will be better than the books (which I find badly written)
fangs are a joke, dear! I'm just having some fun with it.

Did you read the fourth book? The series doesn't really make too much sense until you read the fourth book.

But if you didn't like the first three, you probably won't like the fourth. I liked the first one, and the second was kinda "eh" for me, the third was better, and the fourth ... it's ok but I really wish she wouldn't write from Jacob's point of view. I read the first three really quick, and it's taking me a loooooooooong time to digest the fourth book. The way Jacob's character thinks drives me NUTS.

I've read all the ones that have been released. ^_^
I just feel like she writes the book too much like a Mary Sue character and some parts were just incredibly silly to me.

I will be going to 'Twilight' in full Harry Potter regalia. (I haven't decided if I'm going Ravenclaw or Slytherin yet.) Damn Warner Brothers taking our release date!

And as much of an abomination the books are, the movie's action scenes do look interesting. It's still creepy as hell. Why is Bella designed to look just like Stephanie Meyer? *shudder* You might like <a href="http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/?p=6077>this interview</A> with Robert Pattinson. It's kind of hilarious. The skirt is adorable! That's a fantastic print. :)

yeah I think Pattinson's interviews are really funny! I feel sorry for the guy.
I do think that the movie will be better than the book though. :) even if it totally sucks, I'll probably enjoy it though.

That's what I'm worried about. Whenever I see an action-y bit of the trailer, a small part of me goes "ooo cool!" And I kind of hope it doesn't bomb just so the industry takes female directors and writers more seriously. Or I can just wait for 'The Bear and the Bow' to knock everything out of the park.

Bwee. Conflicted. :(

this sounds bitchy,... but as a female artist I don't want her books to be taken as indicative of female writers/artists. It's so Mary Sue and wish fullfillment. IMHO, it's what men typically stereotype women artists/writers as.

I'd much rather be associated with Sophia Coppola.

my friend Crisso is directing her first tv episode!

Oh, Meyers can hang. I'm worried about Hardwicke and Rosenberg, but I totally get what you're saying. The number of guys I've met who are surprised I'm a fan of Transformers and Batman is astounding. I didn't see POTC because of the dreamy romance and how omg hot Jack Sparrow is. I went to see Davy Jones and the kraken drag ships to the abyss! Mwahahaha! [/im only very slightly evil]

Yay Crisso! :D I hope it's a great episode!

(And omg Cox! Kelso! :D I miss 'Scrubs'.)

OMG, I know! [livejournal.com profile] jkg_vader and I are going to a midnight showing. I hope it will be full of lulz. I'll be sad if it's bad, but not bad enough to be good, if that makes sense!

I'd like to go, but not alone. Those fangirls scare me.

I'm trying to rope someone into going with me. So far, no luck. I need to remember not to laugh out loud during though...

I refuse to read those Twilight books. Refuse. They appear to be bad romance novels only with vampires. No thanks...

You have fangs? Awesome. Take some pics. :)

if you have a friend that has the audio books, borrow them. FOR SERIOUS. they are way worse when you hear the narrator's whiney voice. I was spitting up soda I was laughing so hard. seriously. It was AWESOME.

Hello Amy! I feel like a poop face for leaving you a comment that really isn't on topic with this post, but well everything looks soo cute! ok that was on topic. Anyways! I wanted to let you know that on Sunday (today is friday Nov 21) On the TLC (The Learning Channel) there will be a show on about geisha. I live on the east coast and for me, the show comes on at 10:00 at night.. so i'm not sure what time it would come on in Cali. I think its about an american girl who learns about what its like to be a geisha or something? The commercials weren't really clear on it.. but since there really isn't much about geisha stuff on american tv, i thought you might be interested in it since i know you like geisha's and maiko's. I'm excited to see what the show is about. It looks silly. Anyways, i hope its ok to post this here. Just wanted to let you know if you would like to see it and have the channel and everything. ^-^!!!
