LOOKIT WHAT I MADE :D

It's racoonbearthings making chocolate coffee. Can there be anything more wonderful.
I got this fabric at the train station one station away from the Miyazaki Museum in Japan. Mitch and I went through the station like 2 times trying to find the fabric store. While I shopped for fabric, he sat and read his book about North Korea in the men's suiting department. :D He is a sweet husband. I based the skirt sorta on the MagicWhip AP skirt. I've been wanting to make a skirt with small pleats like this for a while. It was surprisingly zen and easy. Basically just marked off every 1 1/4 inch and drew each line towards the next! (it's just a big rectangle with pleats marked off.)

ALSO, I'm mostly done with my steampunk outfit! :)

I LOVE the skirt! I was going to steal the different colored waist from AP too. lol
Nice to see that it translated well to other fabrics. =3

Your photos make me want to sew more. ^_^;;

sadly I almost always wear shirts that overlap the waistband, so I wonder what's the point? :D

Well, YOU know it's there. I like that detail, too ^_^

The steampunk outfit is fabulous -- I think longer boots will be just right, and I adore the shape of the bodice! The gears on the back are awesome, too :D
