Going Camping over the weekend, but before that, more comics!!

I was roomates with Crisso for 4 years in college. She had a thing for Christopher Lambert. she's still a dear friend of mine and I'm lucky enough to get to work with her often.
yes, I've seen Mortal Kombat, Fortress 2 and obviously, all the Highlander movies.

This second comic (BELOW) has spoilers for Doctor Who season 2 and a minor spoiler for season 3-4.

Oh, we've been playing "Spot Rose" for a while now. You saw that Rose is the one Donna told where the keys to her car are, right? I missed it but I guess Martha has also talked to Rose.

Humm, I read somewhere that Martha had been talking to a blond woman at a clinic. When Martha walks off, the blond woman turns around and it's Rose. I thought I read it at Wikipedia but they don't mention Rose and Martha meeting. So maybe what I was was wrong and it was *Donna* and not Martha.

Well, there's my stuff *shameless* and there's a few really great artists here and there if you look in the doctor-and-rose-club on dA. jesidres is a universal favorite (her Whooligans comics are fan favorites). You can look through my favorites on dA (I'm swankkat on there too) and usually find a few stars. Outside of that, there's a DW fanart community here on LJ (500year_diary) but it is mostly geared toward the classic series.

LOL! Yeah, the second comic? Something similar happens EVERYTIME I watch the season two finale. I called up my ex (then boyfriend) and proceed to tell him how much I loved and appreciated him and how I would feel in that situation. The latest time I called up my new man and proceeded to explain to him the greatness of this show and had him youtube the scenes (to which he promptly teared up at and told me to stop being so depressing, lol).

ROTFL I don't watch Dr. Who, but my thing is CSI. My boyfriend doesn't watch it, so when I talk about it or get upset over whatever happened he's like "o.o What?" I always have to mention who Gil, Sarah, Warrick, etc. are... he's clueless! >:O.

I haven't kept up with the new seasons, though. Those comics are so cute and funny! The one with your hubby made me laugh.

Christopher Lambert's facial hair blends into his chest hair... and that disturbs me. X3 D loves Highlander and made me watch them... but we just kept MST3king it.

I am a HUGE highlander fan. Sadly though, only the first movie was a really great movie. The rest range from suck to not-bad. The TV show was really good, though. I'll loan you the DVDs sometime if you like.

I'm currently midway thru re-watching season 3 of Dr. Who, "Blink" is the next ep on my list! The end of season 2 was really sad, though I think they oversold it a tad with the whole "this is the story of how I died" bit. I'm still not completely sure about how I feel about the Doctor being in love with a human being... but since they actually went there, I'm really glad they left Rose's departure a lingering thing, hanging over him, through season 3 and didn't just shrug it off like often happens on TV.

love, I'm glad they went there. when I first started watching who, I was ok with the whole "companions are always platonic, the doctor doesn't really love", etc, etc... but I think it shows growth and vulnerability as a character to let him go this route. :) I'm really glad they let it linger in s3, too. I was really afraid at the end of s2, that it was just going to be like it never happened, and I think if that had been the case I would have become frustrated and possibly stopped watching.

Ugh, I've seen a couple episodes of the Highlander animated show, and it's definitely horrible. There's a new Highlander anime OVA, but I haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, Blink is a great episode! Like "Love & Monsters," for some reason I particularly enjoy the eps in which the Doctor hardly appears.

Hee hee ^-^, I LOVE your Doctor Who geek fan comics! As for me, after you've watched Doctors 1-8 change companions on a regular basis, you get used to it.

Speaking of companions, check out this AWESOME fan art someone did of the Doctor's girls featuring all the Doctor's female companions since his first incarnation ;) (minus Barbara)! The artist also did a 'companion' piece called The Doctor's boys featuring all his male companions!
