God, I have such a stupid fascination with hosts. When I'm really bored I surf host sites and watch their cheezy Hip Hop routines that they do throughout the night for customers. Likelyhood that I'll blow a wad of cash in Japan on a host club the next time I visit? VERY HIGH.

There really are host clubs? I guess I shouldn't be surprised given that there exist maid cafes and whatnot.

I totally want to go to a host club now. I wonder what they'd think about some crazy gaijin showing up and ogling them all evening. XD

there are host clubs all over, the seedier guys hang out on the streets and try and convince you to come in. in my experience, you can pick a host based on their footwear (point shoes, particularly in white, were SO in when I was there :P) and number of mobile phones.

host clubs are creeepy. I never went to one but I've watched docos about them and stuff. (^^; They probably wouldn't mind you going, so long as you drank lots -- the whole point really is to sell alcohol.

Of course! You need one for personal stuff and then one for the club to call you and then one for the girls from the club to call you (because who would give their 'customers' their personal number, really!) and and and... yeah. it gets tricky. (^^;
