Japan Ai News, red shoes and stompy boots

today, the first day of stompy boots with roses! (ahah... eventually we will get a full length mirror put in. fail! )

the first 60 copies of my book, Japan Ai, are DONE (early!)! Like actually as a book, on paper. XD They'll be to my publisher, Go! Comi, tomorrow and to me by FEDEX, probably Wed. I don't know if I can stand it! I didn't see the proofs, so I'm really anxious! Go! Comi says it looks great, though! (Have you preordered your copy yet through Diamond or amazon? :) ) Did I tell you guys...? the cover is going to be SPARKLY. (this is a rough prototype for the cover... I'll show you a photo of the real one in a couple days!) ho ho ho!

OH! and there's an interview with me about "Japan Ai" in next month's Shojo Beat!

What is your favorite comfortable brand of high-heel shoe or pump? I want to get a shoe that will be "my favorite dress shoe" type thing. It has to be really comfortable. huge points if its a brand that makes 11 or 11.5 in womens. What I really want is a sparkly dress shoe or a bright red dress shoe, but lordie, I'm having the worst time finding one. I'd love a shoe like this in red or silver (I'd even settle for white)
... unfortunately this particular brand, the 11 is too s mall and the 12 is too big. :\ I've tried Zappos, but there aren't that many options for a shoe of this style in my size. (maybe I missed some??)

So that was what all that blank space around your book title was for on the cover. I really thought they were going to put some ugly violator (like those bursts you see on food packaging that says "New & Improved!") up there or something, but I really like the foil printing!! Sweeeeeet!

I like Oh, Deer! (http://www.zappos.com/n/es/d/722677881/page/1.html) pumps. Very glam, sexy, variety of styles & all of my Oh, Deers! have been surprisingly comfortable, possibly the most cumfy pumps I've ever worn...& I wear pumps pretty much daily.

I recently snagged a pair of open-toed Oh Deer pumps which were totally covered in various sized chunks of glitter (very Louboutin) that might be down your alley - & I *know* I've seen them come in red, like a patent leather. I don't see them on Zappos page but you might be able to find them with a bit of google searching.

FYI, they also run a a half size to a full size large (I'm generally an 8, but I need a 7 or 7.5 in Oh Deers). They go up to 11's, which since they run large should work for you!
