meta, charmin and shoes

I can't believe Metamorphose made a skirt this long! Their new biscuit skirt is even longer! O_O... YEAY! ugh... I'm so tired though. I'm fighting a cold still.

It makes me sad that the Charmin Bear commercials are now CG. They aren't horrible CG, they're passable, but not nearly as charming or delicate and wonderful as the previous 2d Charmin Bears. :(

These are the shoes I've been working on for the Nordstrom event. The green sprinkles are puff paint and there's some rhinestone sprinkles in there too. cupcake shoes! It's somehow amusing to me that I'm doing like 8 pairs of all different sized shoes, and none of them in my size. :)

it's with the Girls Drawing Girls group, but I think they have some other artist groups doing it too. Basically, the company sends us the blank shoes... each artist paints 8 pairs, and then they're sold at Nordstrom.

And on another note, the Charmin bear gives me the willies. I can't even buy their toilet paper since I am so disturbed by the image of that bear taking a poo on TV and then dancing around and giggling about it. It's too weird for me!

hi, sorry 'bout that. I have a post on pink-house here (http://users.livejournal.com/tsu_/77131.html). To clarify a bit, the -brand- is pink house but the style is known as country-kei. There are several brands you can look for; Moon Afternoon, Garland, Pink House, Helmut Lang and Green Forest also makes clothes for this style.

hmmm I think they have their own style of magazines. I see it pretty frequently at kinokuniya near the knitting section, but it's usually too expensive to buy (and I never pay attention to names!) If you want, I can go check for names maybe tomorrow....if it doesn't rain!

it's not a hurry, just next time you notice? :) I want to learn more. it's easier to see the details in a print publication. I mean, you can guess where the tucks and lace are, etc, and it's not like I'm trying to make a straight up replica, but I'd love more inspiration. :) thanks

The 2d versions were made by Joanna Quinn. She did a few awesome lectures at my University a couple of years back. I expect CG was the easier option, as per usual. I still keep the faith that people will get sick of the sight of CG and there will be some sort of 2d rennaissance... Then I'll get more work, hopefully :)
