Wow, a real Geisha has a blog! O_O

I saw this guy walking into a bank today. peacock feather hat + rainbow suspenders + Johnny Cash

also Youta:

I got my first kimono in the mail today that really really fits me. It's so lovely! It has a light grey background, and the bottom of the sleeves and the kimono itself have darker grey clouds... with little white embroidered trees. The photo is from the auction, but it's so much prettier in person! I really look forward to attempting to wear it.

Tomorrow I'm going to Huntington Gardens to have tea with some doll folks. I'm not sure what to wear.

Sunday I'm going to the kimono show with Susan. ^_^

still can't decide what to be for halloween.

That geisha has the white version of Youta! Maybe with more of a smooshed in nose though. ^o^

I am both jealous of that geisha's cat and tv...more so the tv....*cries over how little her tvs are...but comforts herself that her cats rock*

Pretty-pretty-pretty Tsukesage! ^^ That is a terrific color to wear with many different colors of obi, and can be more or less formal depending on what obi and accessories you use - perfect! (Where did you get it? ^^) I think you will look smashing in it! :) *Is envisioning pink-based fukuro obi for you...*

I have a grey kimono, but it is iromuji (single color, nice weave but no special design work.)

I got it off ebay for $25, would you believe that?

I'm still getting used to how to coordinate colors, but yeah, I guess pink would be good huh? I was thinking of a slate blue obi... but pink would be a good contrast!

This may be "simple" of me, but you just bought a kimono...why not wear it for Halloween? :)

Unless you have something a bit more complex in mind :)

I've shown the Geisah blog to a friend of mine who studies Japanese because I thought she might be interested and she told me that the woman is not really a geisha, she is just working as a hostess. It could be though that she once was a Geisha but has given up on it and now works as a hostess. Just FYI :)

I'm romantic about it, but seems like maybe she used to be a geisha.
