Well, Comic-Con was lovely! I took great pains to just wander aimlessly for most of the time and I saw a lot of people I hadn't seen for a while and got to chat a bit! I'm so very grateful for that.
what did I buy? I bought the sketchbook and two volumes of the French comic, Belledone (the artist, Pierre Alary was there!), ALEX NINO's sketchbook, one by Brianne Drouhard, a Kay Nielsen fairy tale book, Chris Sander's sketchbook, the new Flight, Jen Wang's sexy postcards, finally bought a Claire Wendling book (dammit)... and probably a few other things. Yoshitako Amano did a sketch in my Faeries book and the new Hero book for me! ^_^ He was so sweet! btw... alot of these books you can find from Stuart Ng.
oh, and a random aside, you have seen http://www.annachambers.com/ haven't you? :)
signed up for a exhibitor booth for next year. O_O. my fate is now cast!
I'm encouraged and inspired, however... this is me right now:

Date: 2006-07-24 06:46 am (UTC)I have a sketchbook I call my Cat book, and I have anyone I meet at cons draw a cat in it. It has fan artists, comic artists and even the voice of Megatron drew me a cat. I thought maybe you had something like that, but with faeries! Hehe :) Sounds like the con was a blast!

Date: 2006-07-24 07:26 pm (UTC)I saw Belledone and it looked pretty neat, but alas was a bit too expensive for me. Is it as good as it looked?
Good luck with the booth next year. I'll definitely have to stop by, and perhaps purchase something. :)

Date: 2006-07-26 03:12 am (UTC)Please give a vote for either of these two options. ^^ I decided that Huntington Gardens is too much trouble, and I doubt they would treat us very nicely even if we did get permission. Sooooo~
1. Descanso Gardens (They have a picnic area and a tea house, we can decide on either one.) [http://www.descansogardens.org/site/japanesegarden.cfm]
2. A Tea Room (This means just high tea, but I don't know if we would have as great picture opportunities as with in a garden.)
