one of my all-time favorites - a mellow oldies-style instrumental.
"Clair de Lune" - Debussy
one of my favorite classical peices, it always makes me feel better. Not nessesarily my favorite version of this song, but this one is still very good.
"The Garden of Everything" -Maaya Sakamoto
a really gorgeous jpop song I got from Annie
"Heaven" - Ayumi Hamasaki
I'm not usually a big Ayu fan, but I like this song a lot! It starts out kinda eh, and then has a great climax, imho. well if you like jpop anyway. ^_^
---------TSUBASA/XXX HOLIC THOUGHTS ---------
so... I like a lot of clamp costume/character designs. In their recent Tsubasa Chronicle stuff, I like how they've been pushing the lines of their stuff, like when a character kicks, it makes a lively curvy line, not restricted to the anatomy or actual length/shape of the character's body.
That's great.
taking the exact same character design head from Card Captor Sakura (ie a child's head design) and simply adding an elogated body, however, isn't great. -_- ... You'd think they'd be able to make the head look older without loosing the character design. Just making a character's arms really perversely long doesn't make them look older it just makes them look off balance.
Another issue, again, I watch the series because I do like some stuff about clamp and SOME things are really lovely about it... however, am I the only one who noticed in the first manga/episode, that the whole Sakura and her boy shopping in the village and running away from the guards and then having a romantic moment suddenly cut short was almost exactly like Disney's Aladdin? Even the position of the castle in the town...
I actually feel that Tsubasa is mostly rehashing and fluff. I actually prefer XXX Holic, since I feel like it actually has more content. However, I tried watching the XXX Holic movie and it was pretty crap. (I stopped watching it, actually... ) They made the characters even more elongated, and the fun 1920's art style and APPEAL of the manga was pretty much gone. It just didn't have the feel of the manga for me.
