so... I'm searching around again for a good foundation. TWO foundations actually. I've heard that foundations with SPF aren't good for taking photos? So I wanted one with SPF for everyday, and one that's great for photos. (Char really likes Kryolon Aqua from Cinema secrets and I like it too but I'm curious about other stuff)

- I have somewhat oily skin and breakout easily
- I'm super pale.
- I want at least one foundation that has spf because I dont want to get cancer. :P
- I prefer a foundation that evens out complexion, as around my cheeks, I'm redder (not heinously, but I would like to knock that out) also it would knock out some of the blemishes, hopefully, since as I said, I tend to break out. *_*
- I prefer a foundation that feels light and not too heavy and ick on my skin
- and also somehow I expect this foundation to stay on all day or most of the day. I don't have time to be in the bathroom reapplying foundation.

I was pretty happy with Clinique's Superfit non-oily foundation... but it doesn't have SPF. I also liked Fresh's foundation. MAC was ok for heavy photo days, but I'm not sure if it photographs ok, all I know is that it covered me up good and lasted all day but it's SO heavy and ick....

Please see previous post about traveling overseas and Junko Mizuno, I'm still looking for more feedback!

I use Bare Essenals. Its a power pigment. Very even and looks good in photos.
Also my makeup artist friend swear by anything by MAC with or without SPF.

I highly recommend BareMinerals (http://www.bareescentuals.com/). I know the infomercials make the makeup seem a bit impossible and silly, but honestly it works great and does not irritate skin and you don't feel like you have anything on. I've never had to reapply the makeup after a day of work.

If they have an boutiques in your area, stop in for a free consultation and see if you like it :)

Thought you were talking about Sailor Moon Live Action for a second there. ;-)

I must also cast my vote for Bare Minerals. :) I have severe acne, alas, and BM covers nicely for photos without feeling like I'm wearing a mask.

If you wish to try it before jumping in whole hog, try this seller. She was very kind to me:

If you decide you like it and want regular sizes, I've also had a good experience with this seller:

Here's what I've been using...

Kohl's has a an "All Right Mattfifying Gel" made by a company called Good Skin for $12 that I use even when I don't wear make up so I don't look like a greasy plate after a few hours... since I never wake up early enough to do make up I also sometimes use Benefit's stick foundation/concealer 'cause it goes on quick and doesn't feel like a mask.

Otherwise, I've heard good things about Bare Minerals line as well, so that's worth a shot too. Good luck!

If you really want one that's perfectly matched to your skintone, Prescriptives is awesome and if you get the loose powder, they'll take the remainder and make a pressed powder compact for you. One of my best friends swears by it and it's lasted her for years at a time.

As for travel, I vote for England if you don't want to deal with language barriers and get the great sights, sounds, and food, and Italy if you don't mind the language but you want the rest too in abundance.

Prescriptives has that wonderful Magic powder that makes skin look flawless!! I love it!!! I don't know which foundations are best. I have some Lancome with SPF, and it works well for me.

I love shiseido produces. I am very pale myself, and have oily skin I just love their base powder. Thats all I use because I hate the heaviness of liquid foundation. I use a concealer stick for under my eyes and also on my eyelids to help hold the shadow. And I use the powder because the one I have is spf 30 or something like that.

Giorgio Armani has the nicest feeling foundation, IMO. No SPF, I don't think, but it blends into your skin like you wouldn't believe and has really nice coverage. And a little bit goes a long way.

For travel I vote Italy.. good food!

I really really recommend DiorSkin Ultra mat foundation , its a bit pricey , but its the best foundation I have tried , its SPF14 which unfortunately is less than whats recommended (SPF15) , another foundation I use is EXTREMELY thin , it feels so light , its called DiorSkin airflash foundation (its spray on foundation) , its really good at covering breakouts and the redness on my face :)

Another vote for Bare Minerals. I swear by the stuff and will use nothing else now. It's got great coverage and it's so light and smooth. And it doesn't piss off my breakout-prone skin, either. Almost EVERYTHING does, so it's a big deal when something works out.

I was looking for the same thing a while ago. I found that I like the natural makeups the Body Shop has to offer. It's less expensive than Armani. I've been happy with them for a while.

i have the same problem....oily skin, break out easily, ultra pale. i use Loreal's true match line. it's the only make-up i've found that comes in a pale-enough shade. :) it's an spf, and feels pretty light for me. comes in a small bottle so if you dont like it, you wont have a jar of it lying around collecting dust. i use the liquid concealer version alot more often than the foundation, though.

I use Laura Mercier and like it quite well. It doesn't have SPF, but I always wear sunblock and just put the foundation over it.
