Dear Life,

Why am I a big fat tall girl, who is 4 cm too fat to wear this THIS DRESS which is perfect in every way?

and yes, I could make it pretty easily, but where, pray tell, would I find fabric with adorable swan princess lolitas on it and castles. WHERE?!

(however. my G5 now has 2.5 gig of ram. FEEEEER ME)

I wouldn't be surprised if they silkscreened that design on, which I know you could totally rock at. =)

Well, I don't imagine that you'll be running that dress through the Super Heavy wash in your machine so yeah... you could totally recreate that dress to look pretty dead on to the original. I'll have to dig up a link... but there's a way to do a kind of silkscreening without having to buy all the equipment.

I found that a while back - it may be able to help you.

That is the most absurdly adorable dress ever. I've half a mind to make one myself!

psssttt... Because of how it's constructed, you could alter it pretty easily. Just let out the back rouching a bit and maybe regather part of the skirt into the bodice if needed.

well, the most important measurements in this dress would be maybe...

Bust: About 76cm(?82cm)
Waist: About 68cm(?72cm)
(that's the measurements of the dress)

Mine is more like
Bust: 90 - 94 cm
Waist: 75 cm

Do you think I could somewhat easily modify the dress so that it would fit me? O_o?

That's REALLY cute but it's really hard to tell what the design is on the dress and kinda defeats the whole purpose of having it, huh? It would be definitely better if you could make it yourself to have it more visible.

Now wouldn't it sooo much cooler if it had your own design on it??? You own drawings??? Woo!

This is a link I was given for those interested in DIY silkscreening.

I haven't personally dug thru it yet, but alot of the crafty girls I have been watching use them... been thinking of dipping my toe into this as well...

hrm... do you know how much it costs to get the supplies to be able to do something like this?

I'd love to be able to make my own fabric...

I have a Print Gocco; I haven't used it very much since I bought it except to make Christmas cards that I never sent out. It's pretty neat, though, and you do get nice results. I mean, I have literally just used it once. I'd like to get the t-shirt printing accessory at some point as I'd like to make goofy shirts with slogans and stuff for my Super Dollfies. You can even get three- and four-color action going on. It's definitely nifty, from what little use of it I've made.

Or you could draw it on your computer and give it to me with your fabric and we'll just throw it on the Red Queen. =)

They seem to make most of these dresses for tinier-than-life asian girls -_-
Why don't you custom-make yourself one? You're good at making costumes, so...

they have the pattern on there:

couldn't you just enlarge it on PS and then make a silk screen out of it?

The design might be a little too detailed to do at-home silkscreening for, but by George you could totally throw that up as a vector line art in Illustrator in an afternoon and let the Red Queen at it!

Check this site out (specifically the high-res kit)... I'm getting the standard starter kit to test out making Beni Bara shirts! :D No photo emulsion required!

You're gonna hate me cuz I'm buying the skirt version of that ^.^;; Its why I'm doing the group order. You're an amazing seamstress and artist. I'm sure you could make something even better ^.~
