*cry*
*_* I'm so close to being done!! :(!!!
my wig seems to not want to stay on my head, it's too heavy or something.
I think I'm going to go curl up in bed now. I hate this costume. I've been working for weeks on it and its still not done. I keep screwing it up.
suggestions are welcome. :...(
I guess I'll have to drag some of my older costumes out of the closet. I hope the wig is salvagable. I spent alot of money and tears on it and I'm poor. I want to diiiiiie.

Did you pincurl your hair and put a wig cap on?
Chances are you'll need a wig cap if its a heavy wig. Your own hair is probably to soft to hold a heavy wig. the cap will give you reenforcement. make sure hte wigcap is Pinned to your head. This might help too. get an Ace bandage and wrap it around the circumfrance of your head where you hairline is, then use a hair pin (Not a bobby pin) to pin it together by shoving the pin though the bandage and twisting it up. This will give you more to pin the wig to.
You probably are doing this, but put your wig on Front to back. Not back to front.
The key places to put pins are two on either side of the front (the temples/ears area) In the back (three pins) and try pinning some through the top of the wig, through the wefting and into the wig cap. That might give you the anchor you need. If its not a skin cap wig it should work.
use actual Bobbypins or hair pins. not those big mama roller pin suckers. Those don't do anything but fustrate unless youre styling with them.
Don't OD on the pins. it will only make the wig heavier.
What did you use as your foundation material to make your wig bigger? Other than the extensions? Or was that all you used? Maybe the exentions as just too heavy and you have to pin then up a bit to distribute the weight.
If worse comes to worse, try this, Get those click barettes (I can't remember the actual name. They're black and vaguely teardrop shaped. to open them you have to press down on the middle and they click open. To close them you press on the sides and they click closed)
Get those and use them as hair pins in the front. then try to cover them up with the wig hair. Might be tricky to hide them is all..but they are pretty hard core hair holders.
If you ever wanna, come over someday and we'll play with wigs and pinning them on. *L* we'll have a wig party. Bring Jen!
