I own "Japanese Tales" and it's a good one ;) These books might also be of some interest to you-- Kitsune: Japan's Fox of Mystery, Romance, and Humor by Kiyoshi Nozaki, The Fox and the Jewel by Karen Smyers, and A Fox in One Bite and other Tasty Tales from Japan by Elizabeth Scofield. Good luck with your research!

Cuteness! I love cats, I wish my mom wasn't allergic. :-( The books you're reading sound so interesting! XD

I plan to make the movie copies this weekend, and send it out sometime next week. I'm only asking $5, to cover shipping and the cost of the tape. =3

I absolutely adore that adaptation of 'The Importance of Being Earnest'! Rupert Everett is hilarious - in fact, the whole cast is pretty perfect. I hope you enjoy it. :D

Ooh all those rhinestones are lovely! Mind if I asked where you got them from? Were they really expensive? I am always on the lookout for those, but the only location I've been able to find them at are JoAnn Etc and they are way out of my price range.

I got them in the fabric district in downtown LA! if you're able to go there, I can try to figure out which store I bought them from, but lots of them have them for about the same price down there. They're still really expensive, but less so than JoAnn's thats for sure.

Ghosts and the Japanese by Michiko doesn't really mention Kitsune's in it, still a great read though!. The Book more or less the death rites and the influence ghosts have on Japanese society and culture. (GREAT book though, it's in my collection too. ^_^)

Some links (You probably know about them though. ^_^;;)

This site has some great books about Kitsune (some on your list I think?)

Good luck with your story!! I'm loving all the work you've put into it so far!

this is true! I've already read a good part of the Ghost book. I bought it just as a fancy though, and kitsune are spirits in a way, so I thought reading more about japanese ghost tales might be educational. Also, the story that I'm thinking about telling would have a bit of a macabre twist to it.
